here is how to fix the MMS for now, until I can come up with a better way


Download APN Manager by 81 Square from the Market

Unzip this file

ApnManager.zip

to your sdcard so the you have an ApnManager folder in the rooot of your sdcard that contains the xml file

go into APN Manager - Backup & Restore and click the restore button

Then reboot your phone

you should be able to send MMS
 
CyanogenMod 7.1.0 for Prevail Unofficial Beta v3.5 w/no "Roaming Indicator Off"

This is the whole rom, not just a fix. So it will erase your info, unless you have not installed 3.5 yet. In that case make sure you follow Hroark's instructions on the first page and make sure you have the new modem installed as well.

I am having a issue with the market... alot of apps are not found when searching the market... including poynt, currents, weatherbug... (titanium backup also will not restore these)

to test i odin'd back to ej06 gingerbread and those apps are found using a market search

I put this in the build.prop because I thought it would allow to see more apps

maybe that is what is causing the issue

do you know how to edit the prop file or do you want me to make an update zip for you to test

we would need to remove the two lines that contain 2.3.5 in them

and remove the # from the beginning of the two lines that have 2.3.7 in them

can you post just the file you changed

I want to make a hotfix pack with your mod, MMS fix and a possible Market fix depending on what trenchkato finds out
 
ok well love the mod man great only one problem i encountered the sound when i plug in head phones it doesent regerster continues to play music through the phone speaker i installed the mod only installed ebuddy and added my google account that was the only changes made now one thing i noticed was the head phone icon on the top stats bar i dont know if anyone is haveing the issues as well or not

yeah it is. I tried making a flashable zip but i was having trouble because sometimes i have issues on my mac. So cwm was saying install aborted. The other one i made i went to my win pc and made it and it worked fine. I guess i could have tried just making the hot fix but i hadnt installed anything on my phone yet anyway so i didnt mind having the fresh install.

update: editing the build.prop didnt fix the problem.
my apps that didnt work: BeWeather, Currents, Goggles, Poynt, SkyDroid

mine did that too, i pulled it and plugged it back in 3 times and it worked.

I even tried dropping in one of my old build props from beta 2.... and the original from ej06
 
Can't get 3g after Installation of cm7. When searching I get 'Must have network connection'
Must be something I missed. HELP PLEASE

I am useing my Prevail to read threads and my web to pdf is not downloading
these threads. No Home internet.

I have CM7-2.3 Installed on my phone. |no 3g| tring to see if Navigater works, I get a message saying that I needs a "working data connection"

I installed the gapps.zip and am able to go to market, have'nt tryed email.

Google acc is google accounts to log in to Mail and Market

Media Player works on home screen but when i open it Fc pops up

Havent Installed any other apps yet

Your problem might be the gapps... you dont need to install that with the update

there is no CM7-2.3

I suggest you try CTMod

so that you can update your PRL and Profile

those functions are not supported in CyanogenMod for this phone
 
my gps is still off, do you think that the fixes will work from the other posts like the gps.conf file and tracker booster

it locks on right away, but it seems me blocks away while on 3g
