Root CyanogenMod 7 Unofficial Beta 5 02/20/12

First of all, thanks for all of your hard work, the community appreciates it.

I just installed the latest release (3.5) switched from CT2.3, before anything else I also installed dt_a2sd (latest version). The reformat went smoothly, booted up to check a2sd settings but the gui wasn't installed in my apps, no prob, so I loaded terminal to run a2sd check, which apparently installed fine, just no gui. I went to the market to grab a couple of apps. I was able to install, even to sd, but after every install market would fc and soft reboot my phone (back to your new boot ani).
Everything installs fine, just this reboot thing is annoying.

Any Ideas?

UPDATE: Well, looks like anything I install magically disappears...so I'm ditching a2sd..for now.

Is your sd card partitioned???? try using s2e from the market....

Hi guys

There are enough posts in this thread about a2sd and link2sd

I would appreciate if we use a different thread for a2sds stuff

If it turns out that this version has some issues with a2sd I will look in to it

doesnt that install 2 apps to sdext type of programs


I can see why installing two programs that do the same thing would give problems


I really wish people could post all the a2sd stuff in a different thread

75 percent of this thread is related to a2sd stuff


maybe some people could test my ROM and post their results before they start installing a2sd and super charger scripts and stuff

I have not messed around with a2sd and link2 sd yet so I am ignorant on the subject

you installed the new 3.5 right ?

did you flash the new ej06 baseband?

were you getting 3G on any other ROM, what is your signal level?

if you not getting 3g then market and mail wont work

what is google acc

media player FCd on you ?


what other apps have you installed after you installed the ROM ?
 
Ok first off holy shit that was quick :D sweet mother of Jesus you are the man hroak I'm beta testing now! !! Plz keep up thegood work but also don't work to hard Xmas is comeing up ;P
 
Just installed... everything works (or does not) as advertised...

However it does seem to be a problem with a2sd the ext partition is either not being mounted or read correctly...

Will report back with any other issues.

I agree s2e works great for me

I partitioned my sd card in CWM
Installed s2e from market
set option to mount as ext4
put a check in applications and rebooted phone

apps were moved to the sd-ext partiton and seem to run fine

I installed Angry birds and it was installed to the sd-ext


I dont know why people want to run a2sd and s2e at the same time, i think that is just asking to have your phone not work right

is your s2e working?
 
I also hit the mms issue... but the Rom keeps getting better.... I definitely rather trade the trade off of the wifi toggle issue for gps locking in under 10 seconds... nice!!!!!

I think the MMS issue should be able to be fixed

this whole change to the new kernel and files was a big pain

The new wifi driver dhd.ko comes with the kernel, you can not use the old one with the new kernel

I am hoping that Kouma will look at this wifi thing, he is the wifi guy
