Root CyanogenMod 7 Unofficial Beta 5 02/20/12

cant get swype beta to work. it installed but i select it in language and keyboards and when i put select input method it wont show. then i go back to settings and swype is disabled.

i have some scripts so i dont know if thats the reason. maybe some one with out scripts can try it and see if it works

edit: did a reboot and swype appears when i hold down to select input method but i select it and it just goes back to android keyboard
 
sounds like you worked some of the bugs out with beta3.5 and the two hot fixes. question im running ctmod 2.3 atm is there any way you can post screenshots so i can compare them or a list of comparable features.
im new to custom roms and rooting the phone it took a week to decide to finaly put ctmod 2.3 on and no problems so far.

this a beta, has bugs that will be worked out eventually

I will be doing more work on it over the weekend

CTMod is a lot more stable, so you may be better off with using it

If you want to beta test and try to help solve some of the issues you are welcom to install CM7
 
i might be willing to beta test :} as long as i can still make phone calls and send text msgs n such(it's my only phone y'all know LOL)

how are you getting this what is your settings and apps?
well i geuss my battery may be draining so fast is because i do a bit of surfing and an occasional app but when i checked my battery usage its says standby 46% display 36% web browsing 6% android %2 and i forgot the rest and the battery left was 49% and the phone was on for about 3 hrs 2 hrs on standby

i dont know i get 100% battery charge and good battery health by charging it settings are no haptic feedback 3918 is my voltage 4 shared- dolphin hd- mobo player- super user -avg security pro- avg antivirus pro -quick pic -these are the apps i installed and all work fine by the way also wifi off hot fix 2 fixed my headjack not working problem .

If you are using s2e or a2sd, you may have to have cyanogen install to internal. Just because you have an sd-ext doesn't mean it is installing it there. If you have TB, do a batch operation and have it move all apks to internal storage (or just Swype if you don't have the room). That fixed it for me.
 
Still having 3g MMS problems...noticed i did not install fix1 lol but my sound driver is great as is but ill flash now and post back.....hope it fixes 3g mms

Still nothing,,,new version of CM7 is nice but CTmod i have no problems i guess ill just wait till CM7 is functioning

You u are to flash hf2 as well go to the start of this thread and read post 3

not seeing what your talking about on post 3

EDIT-- i installed HF2 (hot fix 2 HAHA) and its not working

EDIT:: ok re-flashed HF2 and fixing permissions hope tghis works this time ill post back when its done..this is only major issue im having, the new version CM7 is bad ass
 
Ok so re-flshed HF2---and still nothing--after fixed permissions now home button does not work---going back to CTMod

I love the built in features like blacklist and stuff-great rom ---but no MMS capabilities, i have less network coverage- home key not working now- If someone can help fix this stuff here id be more then happy to stay with CM7

Ok bud do me a favor redo ur phone really install in this order cm 7 3.5 hotfixe 2
After that fix permissions

*update* ok bud I done 2 tests and it worked to me sending mms only takes about 3 to 6 secs to recive them takes about 2 to 4 mins on your messengeimg app press menu the. Scroll down where it says spoof agent set it to iPhone 3.0

But not this is how I installed cm7 3.5

First I wiped everything factory reset
flashed cm7 3.5
Hot fixed 2 (no premession set needed for me)
Messageing app follow setup above

I know this works because the 2 phones is one with cm7 3.5 hf2 and stock gingerbread try this and post back I'd summary report

Install APNSBU or Any APN Restore App
Off the Android Market

Reboot Phone. & Test By Sending A MMS On Wifi Once Rebooted..

THATS IT. PICTURES SHOULD NOW BE ABLE TO BE SENT & RECEIVED USING WiFi & Without Having To Switch Back To 3G Or Back To Wifi To Send Or Receive..

Using Any Default Regular Messaging App Or Go SMS..

May Or May not Work Out For Everyone.​
