Root CyanogenMod 7 Unofficial Beta 5 02/20/12

awesome thanks to all involved. works great, near perfect so far after a day of testing

found some bugs.
after pressing speaker people are unable to hear me. this continues even with calls made after hanging up. the only way i've found to get it working again is to reboot.

the other 2 are actually with other apps. but only happened since i installed cm7

in root explorer when i go into systems folder it is always mounted as re writable. i can not change it to read only.

i installed darktremors thru cmw and then downloaded a2sdgui from market. and although i hasn't caused any problems that i have noticed, system information differs from what i see in titanium backup. there it says that i have 1.9gb free space in a2sdgui it says i have 28 mb

Ok so first off great work wit this love the new mod. :D only oneproblem after the phones been on for say 4 hours I go to call or recivce a call nobody can here me once I reboot it works just fine has anybody Elise gotten the same problem? And also I reverted back to shabbys mod but once I do I lose all sight of 3g. D; any help I'm on cm mod right now could use some help

how exactly did you revert back to Shabby Mod

I figured out that when you put the phone on speaker you have to turn mute on then turn it off. It should work then.

i just istalled script manager and opened it just fine

can you describe the steps you did, so i can try to reproduce the error on my phone
i also have script manager. no problems with it although i haven't actually applied any scripts with it. i have opened up v6supercharger but decided not to use yet

that was always a common issue between a2sdgui and titanium, titanium is correct and a2sdgui is not

When I scroll down the page, almost towards the end, it forecloses.

is it looking in your SD card

can you tell me if your SD card is partitioned and if so how you did it

can you also tell me everyting you installed on the phone since you put on CM

you have to load a froyo kernel, i would also install kouma kernel

you should odin to stock first, your paritions are probably still ext4

O no wonder lol I'm still new trying to learn the android system many thanks for ur quick replays I do wish u luck wit this project ill still test it peacebrother

Yes it's looking in my sd card. I partitioned ext2 through Easeus and used Link2sd to partition ext4. I've had my sd-ext partitioned since Chicken Tits.

sd card is not partitioned .
i installed cm, the fix, gaps, apn manager, busybox(it might be this), barcode scanner, theme chooser, and titanium backup.

the CM already comes with a copy of busybox

I was not able to install the Busy Box from the Market without it crashing

It also made my wifi not work anymore

I recomend you start over and do not install busy box this time

All this is why I am letting others test this oit before I try it out myself.

I haven't had any real issues that weren't normal troubleshooting per installing ANY new ROM, or my own doing. Aside from my a2sd partition. I did a clean install though.

Ok, this is weird.... to try and get around speaker phone problem i've been experiencing i tried to install "speaker mode" (while enabled turns speaker on automatically for any calls made or recieved) with CWM. Phone reboots while app is being restored. i then went to market and found a similar app "Speaker Phone" by mihai chiorean (in case you want to try) . Downloaded ok then when it started installation phone reboot again.
Not sure if this is related but did you include terminal emulator? When I was checking app drawer to see if speaker apps had finished installing before reboot i found 2 of them. Uninstalled one and then found the other is /system/apps/ and deleted. It reinstalled itself when I tried to download Speaker Phone again.

terminal comes with CyanogenMod, not something I added, it just comes with it

did you install apps to sd, which apps did you move to SD

i'm using a2sd, everything on sd is after install. i haven't moved anything that was included. sorry not sure if that is what u mean.
Could you please try and see if you can install that Speaker Phone app i mentioned. if you have no problems installing i'll try a fresh install.
