Root CyanogenMod 7 Unofficial Beta 5 02/20/12

I tried downloading adobe flash from those websites I've installed each version independantly aswell as to the system/apps and SD card still no luck I'm getting audio but no video and as far as Facebook goes I think I can deal after the initial load it does fine.....by the way I'm not using an app for YouTube but instead accessing it from the default browser on beta5

Some have better luck with dolphin, also there is a browser app with flash support (skyfire i think?)
This

Is the version i use, it's not without it's flaws, but it does the job

Okay so after deciding on 10.2 I put the APK in system/ apps set the permissions and set root explorer back to read only rebooted ....still no video but the I got to thinking and while on video I switched HQ mode of and every video I tried after that worked with no probe...its just that in the past and even on beta5 no extra I didn't have to change this option.....I think it may have something to do with the fact that the dalvok cache is coming from extra but the system apps still read off of dtll13 or whatever...if HROARK. Could give some insight or suggestion I would be very appreciative...I mean all in all turnover HQ off isn't that big of a deal but I'm mildly OCD and this is just the kinda thing that eels me...lol

no market app

EDIT . OH ... you don't have a Market app or you need Flash ? Please be more specific . I just posted a link for flash 10 in post #2342.

If you need the market you either need to reflash your rom because it should have had it included OR you can search the web for a market app .

If your rom didn't install the market , chances are that other stuff is wrong . I would reflash the entire rom .

was over looking the market app found it

fill dumm lmao

and how do i instal the flash player

Dl from the link provided in this thread

make sure to enable menu> settings> applications> unknown sources

Using a file explorer, locate flash player on sdcard.

Select it, and when prompted select install

Yesterday I installed FA19, latest CM7 beta5, data-to-sd kernel, and the hotfix for maps on my sisters phone. The strange thing is that unlike my phone which I did the exact procedure on, her phone is acting up. It keeps stalling on the settings menu of her phone. Sometimes the applications lag so much that a Force Close, Force Wait option appears for them. There are intervals where the phone just freezes for a few seconds. Example: You go to view the list of ringtones and the phone hangs for a few seconds before it displays the list. It seems to hang as well for a few seconds when you change an option. Honestly, you can almost time it when it's going to happen.

I find this rather odd since she has the exact same phone and SD card. I partitioned the card pretty much like mine with an EXT4 partition. I did the entire procedure I did on my phone the same. Yet with all that her's is going on the fritz. While mine works flawlessly and fast.

I'm not sure if her phone is broken or there is something I did wrong during the conversion. She claims this has happened in the past but rarely while she was on CTMOD.

Any ideas on the problem? Possible Fix?

For those running cm7 #5
Did anyone try the market app "3G\4G speed?
Im running it now and the results are unchanged!?!?
Im wondering if it even works for us?

It's not flashable, you need to put the apps in the apk installer

you might wanna try using Bloodawn's apkinstaller.zip . Just click the link below, read the directions and download the zip .

Does anyone have any ideas? I'm at a loss really. Though I did mention to her she may just ask for a replacement phone. I want to rule everything out though.

I have the exact same problem with lag, that's why I have to run the non-data to sd-ext kernel; the lag is intolerable otherwise. Funny enough I use S2E (which basically accomplishes the same thing as the data to sd kernel does: maps Apps and Dalvik to the sd-ext partition) with no lag or discernible performance hit over mapping to internal memory. This with a confirmed legitimate class 10 SD card. Go figure.

Right now class 4 8gb (my backup) my class 10, 16 GB 'expired'
still tho, minimal lag (mapsfix-ext kennel))
(if you mean the manufacturer, idk... Lol have to turn phone off to look as card has /data )

lol i gotya..im using 16gb class 4 Sandisk..never tryed a higher class then that..considering it though. never really been to impressed with the class 4 16 gb..or my class 4 8gb

Does she have the exact same sdcard? Lower class= lower speed = lag

Yep she has the exact same card. That's why I don't understand why she is having so many problems where I'm not. It's weird I tell you. I'm going to try the non-sd-data-ext kernel and see what happens. I highly doubt it's that though.

Hmm the only issue I have with S2E is that it doesn't do things automatically. I have to constantly go to the program and move things when I install apps. That just frustrates me really. Unless of course I missed a setting or something. Most of the time moving the stuff requires a reboot.

I wonder can you use A2SD with CM7? That should transfer things automatically to the SD card if installed properly. I've used it before but not on CM7. If S2E can do this then I'll use it. Otherwise A2SD seems like my best bet.

Can anyone confirm this?

Has anyone else been getting a "System.Force Close" error when they download an app from the market? as soon as the app finishes installing it gives me a force close error....but everything seem to download and install fine, so im not sure why it shows the error.

I've been having FCs with the system process as well. I've noticed that when it happens, the apps that are updating hang in the notification bar. If I pull down the notification bar and select one of the apps, it goes to the market page for a seemingly random app that's installed and not the app that was updated. I normally choose 'wait' instead of 'force close' and haven't noticed any problems with the apps that were updated.
