if u did the dalvik move give it some time to reboot.. sometimes it takes a min on the boot animation...Ha funny i just did that and cringed the entire time cause i jsut got the theme to work correctly and i have an addictions and cant stop flashing shit on my phones!!

I found out that using 12M can cause crashes everywhere.. can cause bootloop also.. dont recommend trying that one.. had 2 odin...
moved it to 16m had same results.. it didnt load..... odin...
i used 24m... apps loads are a lil faster & so do images on the browser & market.. but haven't tested on larger apps..

You guys are just too smart for my britches.. lol I am still boggled by this app.. and the partitions of the SD.. Its like looking at your untied shoe string, you just think...Do I really need to tie it? haha
I understand the partition, somewhat, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to make it ext4. I can make a ext2? and ext3? I don't use a lot of unnecessary apps, for me anyways, like games, but I do have a lot of word documents for school and work. I am very content with just having the ext2..But I wanna know how I make a damn ext4! lol
I hate it sometimes when I have to be so persistent with my lack of knowledge...and/or pride..So I just left Wally-world, decided to treat me-self to a new 8gb SD along with my other SDs I have (Both are 2gb..) Alrighty! now to install AS2D!

Theme: Simple Blue 4.0(noCIQ)
SD Card: Idk the class but it is an 8g Sandisk
Partitons: 7g primary FAT32 for data, 1g EXT2 for Apps
I manually mounted System and Data in CWM before install just in case.
The install goes fine, but when I load up I don't see a2sdgui. I used Terminal Emulator and did a2sd check and attached the log file so you can see what it is showing.
I found the script in system/bin(I think). When I goto Settings > Applications > On SD Card it shows nothing(Though I don't know if they should show there or not.
I manually downloaded a2sdgui and it loads but only shows a black screen.
I have nothing else to try so I figured I would come and ask, any help/suggestions?

On SD Your Not Going To C Anything There... u will c it here: /system/sd
From What U Said About GUI & Your Log. Looks Like Your Flash Didn't Fully Go Thru... gui shouldve gotten pushed with the a2sd...
Could also mean your SD Isn't Partitioned Correctly For EXT2... Can U Mount SDEXT in CWM? If U Get A Error Mounting Its Not Partitioned Correctly...
Your Log Reading Everything Is Getting Permission Denied... It Is Also Not Mounting Your SD. Try Re-Flashing It....
im just pointing out those 2 points.. didnt wanna post the whole code..
I have flashed it a few times. I will try again tomorrow and let you know, I'm using it for a router atm and don't feel like moving lol. Thanks for the response.
try the sd. repartition it.. if u on ext2 already u should b able 2 do it again without touching the fat32 one... then reflash a2sd...

I partitioned stock sd with easus and got 500md on "EXT3" and it made it primary like the fat32. then flashed a2sd before flash i mount sys and data. it loaded fine. when i rebooted i got no gui so i looked for it in system/sd and it had one listing.
Should i go back to easus and delete ext 3....and if i do how can i get easeus to set an ext 2 or 4????

Got same situation, made ext4 mounted system and data, app2sd said it installed no problem,reboot, app gui nowhere to be found!LOL! Go back to cwr and try to mount ext. ERROR!!!

back up your sd cards and partition them with cwm. boot into cwm>advanced>partition sd card. make your ext as large or small as you like and 0 swap size.
then in "mounts and storage" mount sd-ext and partition it. you now have a usable ext4 partition.
correction: should say mount sd-ext and then format sd-ext

Followed the instructions and got squat!
No evidence of apps2sd other than> partakers in sys/sd<
Tried alot of stuff in the past few days with this and im tired of screwing my phone and sd up.
So,I aint gonna sweat it!

seems to be some trouble of late.
i've had problems when moving dalvik. maybe that's why some are experiencing failure. i keep it on internal. still ~70MB free. phone runs fine. some have moved it no problem but mileage varies. i *think* it may be due to sd speed. not just card class but actual r/w speeds.
easeus partition manager will make an ext2 partition and cwm makes a proper ext4 partition. i haven't seen anyone use a windows program to make an ext4 partition. i'm not saying there isn't one out there that can do it. i just don't recall seeing it done yet.
ext4 is only supported if you have hroarkernel.
ext2 is used if you are using stock kernel or shabbykernel.
sd card shoudl be fat32 primary/ext primary. no swap partition.
ext3 is NOT supported by any kernel. an ext3 partition will probably mount as ext2 but that's not reliable or advised.

Is it necessary to have Hroark's kernel to make the Ext4 in CWR?( << More than likely it probably isn't, but I do not know what else to ask.. ) When I try to mount it gives "Error mounting /sd-ext..Any more suggestions? ...Ext4 is the future..I'd like to be there toooo..

But, I don't understand why is there so much hassle with this app to install!?!
I would think that the designing needs to be little more streamline in this rom going in there and being able to create the partition it self???(not trying to bust on anybodies work,seriously)

The best way to do this is to use odin and hroarks ee14 with cwm recovery and hroark1.2 kernel
then go into cwm recovery and partition the sd card, at that point it will create a ext4 partition then go into mount and mount /system and /data
Then go to flash zip and flash the a2sd that is in the first post. That SHOULD take care of the problems. Just remember to back up your sd card to your computer as it will get wiped.

I believe inigo gave me the same inst. a little further down with making part #4 and then the mounting,then the flashing but, still no evidance of the app?!

if you installed this after a fresh odin or data wipe, you have no user apps in /data partition and/or apps are still on internal. the placeholder is the only thing than CAN show up. the app (a2sdGUI) can be downloaded from the market for free if it doesn't get installed by the zip but this modification will work without the GUI installed. you can control it through terminal. the top of the OP has a link to the darktremor page with much more detailed instructions and commands. the fact that you have system/sd available means this installed the scripts and they are running.
you're info says you're using shabbykernel rc1. if that's the case you do need to use an ext2 partition. shabbykernel does not support ext4.I followed this like a hawk! the betas don't work properly and i haven't had time to make them work. i should not have assumed you downloaded the mod from here. my tip-off should have been the gui app. let us know when it's installed.
