No, the rom is Eris Lightning 3.02.
In recovery select the option that says USB something, then the sd card will be mounted and you can place the rom on your sd card again. Reflash the rom and see if that works

Evil Eris is a well known one, VERY stable [ROM]-[6/3/2010] Evil Eris v3.0(HTC Sense UI-Android 2.1)[Evil Eris v4.0 ANNOUNCED!] - xda-developers
or xtrSENSE [ROM 7/15/2010] xtrSENSE3.0.3 [apps2sd,jit,oc]-high performance HTC Sense - xda-developers
does evil eris or extr sense have live wallpapers?
( even though my droid x should be coming in the mail soon
)You can also go to start, run, and type cmd. That will open up a command window. From there cd to your tools folder, it should look something like this "cd C:/android-sdk-windows/tools/"
Holy hell! Is it forward slash, or backward. All time I have been doing C:\android-sdk-windows\tools. I think my head would fall off it it were something so simple. Lol I am the epitomyof insanity, cause i kept doing the same thing over and over, and expecting diff results. Part of me kinda hopes its not that simple though cause i would feel kinda dumb lol.
Question for a windows vista user here;
I've downloaded SDK, however I'm stuck on #5 of GrdLock's instructions. This is what I'm getting;
XML verification failed for http://dl-ssl.google.com/android/repository/repository.xml.
Error: schema_reference.4: Failed to read schema document 'null', because 1) could not find the document; 2) the document could not be read; 3) the root element of the document is not <xsd:schema>.
What? GrdLock's instructions??
Yeah step #1; follow (1-11) of gridlock's instructions to properly install the Android SDK. I've installed it, and have hack-v4.zip in the tools folder. I keep getting that error tho. USB debugging is on. I'm not sure SDK is finding the USB device tho.
Thanks for the fast response surgeon.
For HTC devices, you'll probably have to download the HTC Sync install from HTC.com
I had to do that last night then everything worked from
hahaYeah, It's a pain, try installing it/getting it to run on linux, then switching to Windows.Oh thank you! being on a mac and helping with the windows tutorial is hardhaha

I spent like 10 minutes trying to figure out why my linux commands weren't working.
It's actually really easy.haha i tried rerooting my phone on windows earlier to learn the method better, but I ended up saying screw it and went back to my mac haha
Now if only i could find a rom that works right.
Finally rooted! Flashed "Plain Jane" with apps to sd, tethering, and Overclocking. Thanks for the detailed instructions Surgeon0214! Took a few attempts, had to run HTC sync to get my comp to recognize my phone, but after that it was a snap. No more worrying about internal memory, phone is FAST, improved battery life. Well worth the effort.

Yes and noStill no ROMs working?
Yes and no
I install EvilEris 3.0- Web Browser doesn't work and can't get App2sd to work
I install Lightning, and SuperUser Locks up and force closes, so no Overclocking. And can't get App2sd to work. Plus no USB tether.
Haven't tried White Widow yet, but if i remember correctly it doesn't have Sense.
haven't gotten around to Ivan's yet.
Currently using EvilEris just stuck with Opera Mini
