CM9 is far from ready, CM7 wont know until RIL is working.

Yea, its smooth as silk once it settles in. ;)
 
This is a reply to pg. I had trouble booting into recovery. I had to try multiple times to get it to boot through hardware means properly. I thino I was at fault though. Also Icouldn't open the app draw. It would only force close on me. (But I have about a hundred or so apps so maybe that was it.)

I've had no issues booting into cwm but have had the app drawer fc, hang etc even with no apps installed.

Hey, its better than before so i aint complaining. Btw PG, nice work with cm9 so far. And ive pretty much worn out on my search for a dev... -.-... gonna have to call in the guy who knows a guy.

I need a RIL God lol

Managed to get it a bit smoother/less laggy but still has a way to go. RIL is the big hold up on both ports atm. ;)

Lol, understandable. When i cant get something right, i just walk away from it for a bit until i feel up to the task again, though that doesnt happen often anymore. Much more persistent. Btw, how big is the second cm9 Alpha release? (Each time i redownload it, the file gets bigger and bigger. at 126 mbs )

And yea @Mexjoker its diff for each device, tho the methods used on another device may help.
 
RIL is the thing that makes the phone usable to us. Like text, SMS, mms, Bluetooth, etc. RIL stands for radio interface layer.

In 2 weeks I can donate one with a cracked screen...my friend is going to do a warranty claim and let me keep the old one. Would it matter that we can't set it up because it will be a 'lost' phone?
 
Not at all to be honest because me and PG both have a testing device. Even if we did not the radios would still pick up a wireless signal and WiFi signal just not a Mobile Data signal.
 
ok so i googled ril developement and im sure some has tried this but heres something that looked like it would help.....Android - Radio Layer Interface
...needles to say im stupid when it comes to this stuff i just find it interesting...but take a look and let me know if i was close to helping..lol
