Root [DEV][WIP] CM9-Esteem LG MS910

If someone were to fund the CM9 port to LG Esteem, would there be any guarantee it would be fully usable as a daily ROM when you're done? Also, how much money would it take you in donations to finish it? I know many of us who are looking at spending hundreds of dollars on an ICS phone when all we really want is ICS on our LG Esteem.

Let's talk dollars and "sense" here. ;)
 
LoL okay dont get ahead of yourself there HaHa. PG is working his TAIL off when he is sick right now and I am also trying to make it usable WITH him so you just have to give us some time and I am sure that it will be usable. Progress was made today and am working on getting it better now.

Just wanted to clarify that it works now and thank you. Btw, cheers to PG; its actually pretty usable for a prealpha. I played angry birds space for a little while. :P once everything settled down, the game was playable. Few hiccups here and there with google voice fc, but it was expected.

And I am also attempting to try and get the Radios working better. I am recieving a signal definitely but am unable to talk to anyone with it. Dont get WiFi OR Mobile Data at all. WiFi wont allow itself to turn on and am going to start looking into those things also to see if I cant figure something out.
 
I got to play with it for a bit but it rebooted and the cm9 boot animation just kept going and going... Any ideas?

Yup, there is a problem with the rebooting... There is an easy way to get past it, either wait a long time OR Wipe Dalvik Cache. I found this shortcut out after the first release and just never told anyone LoL. So when you want to reboot you must Wipe Dalvik in CWM in order to get away from the Infinite Boot Animation
 
Happened to me too but it's cause maybe it was being used for a while lol. That was on.the second poc that pg uploaded
 
Havent found a cause for it but I personally havent even looked LoL obviously a Caching issue of some sort LoL but Wiping Dalvik definitely fixes it, just have to wipe every time you reboot ATM

I meant to honestly but at first i kept forgetting and then i decided to mess with you THEN i forgot again until now HaHa

im sure if its important you already thought of it but what about the apn patch for mms to work that we had over on the optimus? wouldnt that help even a little to get data up and running?

Data isnt fully configured yet, same with wifi basically. ;)

When it gets closer to to being usable it all should work out of the box.
