Are you saying basically make our own android version of ICS pretty much? No offense to PG, epayne, MT or anyone else here, which I don't think they will take any because they most likely agree and feel the same, but I highly doubt any of us are smart enough to do that.... ICS/CM9 isn't broke so why fix it?

I was just wondering lol, it seems like you could just take an ICS release for similiar phone and port it to the esteem and bam ICS, and i thing PG is smart enough :thumbup: He is a god afterall

Dude, w keep getting questions from you asking for release dates. We have no idea. There is potent to do with our am we will try to continue to do what we can.
 
Porting from stock Android source code is MUCH more difficult. I would have to agree with Shiny... no one would bother thinking our is worth it lol especially when cm 9 is already untied from anything else and just have to fill inn the blanks versus creating the blanks first on stock source then hoping you got the right things then trying to port over then

You could try notepad++.

1.) I dont do dirty ports
2.) Theres not a LG device with ICS officially n not any ports that work any better.
3.) it just isnt as easy as it sound ;)
 
All I really want from ICS is the virtual parts can they be back ported over to our phones like the launcher and the pointer I can't mod the virtual cursor for nothing is because of the framework-res hardware acceleration I had been experimenting you guys are good and I really appreciate your efforts PEOPLE THIS IS NOT EASY TO DO SO BE PATIENT I am waiting Thank you CM9 specialist for working on our phones and the knowledge you give thank you so much I am can't wait for another update (MY LAKERS GOT WHOOP!!!!!)
 
Honestly I've got the point to where I dont care about ICS anymore. I've already got EVERYTHING ICS has to offer except the actual firmware itself. I'm content until CM9 comes out so no hurry.

If anyone wants a bunch of what ICS offers check out my ICS 4.0 theme.

Sorry about asking for release dates and all that, i'm just really anxious:D.
And about the n00b question, I thought it would be hard or else we would have gotten it already:p but thanks for clearing that up people:D.
