its just supposed to overwrite the updater-script on your computer, i didnt make to flash, im not that advanced yet lol

I think people were copying the whole META folder over and not just pulling the updater out

Yeah you deleted everything out of the META folder except the updater script.....

I made the zip not to be flashed but to drag the contents of it into the CM9 folder on your computer to overwrite the current updater-script that has the assert script

How did you make a flashable zip though? I didn't make crap, i just edited the updater-script and put it in a zip folder...

yea on my pc u got the unziped on replaced the update script then made it a zip called system.zip whiches am uploading now and u need to get a mic dude LOL

Honestly I've got the point to where I dont care about ICS anymore. I've already got EVERYTHING ICS has to offer except the actual firmware itself. I'm content until CM9 comes out so no hurry.

ok folks, I appreciate those who have fixed the assert to help out those who cant manage to edit it out. But please just post those links in this thread and not a separate thread for them. I have seen at least 2.

I will either a.) fix the assert to ensure it will work flashing over stock or b.) remove it b4 I upload from now on.

Click this for a completely edited .zip with the fix already applied. Or download the attachment for JUST the script, you have to replace it yourself.
