the assert checks against the build.prop to ensure the file is being installed on the device it was intended for aka not being install on a different device.

Yes RIL is working, calls can be made, but no sound yet ;)

Thanks! Any ideas on how to make this less laggy? do that and this could be my main rom lol, How are you so godlike? And how do you have the patience to work on this lol. I'd love to help you out in any way possible, i would code with you but i only know a little java( i played around with the code in minecraft) Ill test whatever you want tho

Hey PG. I'm from the land of the moto triumph and on this thread because my gf has the esteem. But if you were to ask Gannon from triumph I'm sure he will help. As of now he is using Kang instead of cm9. He said it is way Better. Anyway just saying. Doesn't hurt to ask. He is great at what he does
 
sure i dont mind honestly this is all im waiting for i love the other guys work but nothing like cm7 or cm9 well looking forward to that video

mainly need to find the cause of the lag. epayne says using a diff launcher fixed it alot for him but I see very lil diff when using another launcher.

I'm not really godlike lol, I just learn as I go. I'm not much of a coder myself, just familiar with a few languages enough to edit stuff. ;)

And the patience part, eh they run thin at times for me even lol. But doing this sorta of stuff is my crack ;)

I converse with some of the CM Devs on a regular basis now.

All other are just kangs from CM src, so they arent really any better, just another option for folks with added features. ;)

To most of us youre a god lol, and after youre done, mind teachin me some stuff:D id really like to help you. after all, youre pretty much my hero right now lol, gingersteem extreme was godlike, this is gonna be godlike, i cant wait! and i sit at my computer all day so i have nothing better to do lol. and i was using adw launcher ex and browsing the home screen was very smooth but clicking stuff was still laggy as well as opening apps and well... everything else lol

and if you dont mind me askin, how old are ya? im 13 :D and i too, am disappointed with the average knowledge of the modern teen lol
 
Hey PG, does the fact that RIL is working mean we're wifi and 4g away from a cm7 build while we wait for progress on cm9?
 
To be honest I don't see a point of making a CM7 rom because that's based on gingerbread...the LG esteem comes with gingerbread out of the box...our time and focus should really be on PG's CM9 rom that's the next big update coming to the LG esteem : )

SAme fix hasnt seemed to work in CM7 yet ;)

I plan on getting CM7 going too ;) Chances are more in its favor to get everything working than with CM9, in a reasonable time frame at least.
 
Okay, RIL is being read but doesn't seem too be getting Amy signal anymore. i will have to back track and see what was changed and then maybe we can give y'all an update that you can call your friends from someone lol unless this is another issue with mixed results. Anyone having cellular signal (Not Data Or WiFi) at all? Basically i just wajtbtp know who DOESNT have the x within the signal strength area

I'll have to reflash the earlier test and see..will have time in a few..unless ya'll have a variation of the one posted a few days ago..pm if ya do..otherwise I'll go with the other one:D
