i watched that vid with the CM team the other day and i got so stoked that i flashed cm7 on my old optimus lol...those guys are so deliciously nerdy..its awesome! (no homo lmao)
 
I'm new to the forum but I've had the Esteem since the day it came out. I wish I had checked out this forum earlier. I had no idea there was such a strong community here. I guess it was worth the hassle of unbricking my phone cuz it led me here lol. Anyway I'm loving ZVD now and I'm stoked about this project. I sent a donation as part of my appreciation.:D

It's mainly just to look at it and want it more. There's not much to do as it's extremely laggy, no internet, audio. It re-boots often as well. Just mainly to stare at in anxiousness :D

True, but it all takes time and I am only one person lol. I am no guru at this stuff, just learn as I go ;)

Ah, okay.. I usually think of stuff like that as "pre-alpha". When I hear alpha I think of a usable, but still somewhat unstable build... lol. Guess I got a little excited.. :D Thanks for setting me straight! And yes, I stare at that thing in anxiousness every. Single. Day.. lol

Iwont sit here and claim I will have it done in 8 weeks or less (obviously lol) but it might be tomorrow when I get it all working or it may be another 6 months. Thus why I seem such an ass to those who show up out of the blue making such claims n then ask us how to install a ROM. LMFAO
 
Hey pg I'm not or have not stressed over any cms you've made but rocking metro how ya liking it? .

And your on cricket still you think the ascend was this hard?

You had a lot of collaborators then . Are you still in contact with them?

Any chance we can convert them here?

actually isaacj87 did all the hard work on CM7 Ascend, I just took it over when he moved on. It was also when I got into learning the innards of android and thus started adding my own twist as I learned lol. The A2 was the first CWM I did, n then the Optimus C/M, and then used IHMO's repo for post CM7 to the Optimus C/M, and did the A2's Cm7 myself.

Since then my list of CWM ports has grown lol, with a good many being LG's lol.

I chat with the CM and CWM devs alot on IRC, so I am confident it will get done, eventually. ;)

this one single post right here deserves a 'love' button made on the forums hahaha

hey pg, i have a question lol totally off subject here but i noticed you poking around in the 'connect' forums.. so i was curious have you messed with any roms for the device? based off the stock dump lol not CM ;)

im having a hell of a time trying to get the sui to decompile.. trying to shed some love for those guys with a rom port but so far nothing but errors lol thanks in advvance! good luck with the rom & glad ur back around!

I been messing with one on n off but nothing grand yet. I got mt to decompile the framework.jar and core.jar for me lol

I try not to get hung up to much on my other projects for too long until I get CM9 in better shape. And for some unknown reason I can not get a kernel I compile for the connect to boot. :mad: I have tried bone stock, mt's Blitz src, and every way to compile it I know of to no avail and it kinda pi55es me off and unmotivates me to work on it til I have a kernel of my own.

I even started a CM9 repo for the connect too, but its not compiling yet.... but I know what needs edited to get it too tho lol.


Oh and I have my Esteem src compiling again :D
