I didn't really like Ubuntu too much. I guess I just didn't like the way it looked. I have Mint 13 with the Cinnamon launcher, and as soon as I can get a copy of my windows system to an external hard drive or something, I'm going to replace it with Mint as the sole OS on my laptop.

EDIT: I think we're getting off topic again lol
 
Lol I like the layout of the stock app. I saw it after I finally got cm9 to boot. Way better options than the previous stock versions.
 
Is it possible to grab the MMS.apk from CM9 and use it on our current GB roms?
And what about other apks? Browser, phone, contacts, etc.

EDIT: Probably not browser, just remembered that ICS uses Chrome, which GB can't use, but you get my point lol

The phone and contacts can just be themed with ICS. Looks and acts the same

well to a certain extent.. the ICS/CM9 versions do have minor cool-ish differences that would require more than just adding themed images lol but basically yes you are correct.. look and act the same :D

as of now im still not good enough to completely modify an apk to my liking.. im still learning a lot as i go and try new different things but then when smali files are involved i just lose it.. unless there a guide lol i have no idea what the random numbers and letters apply to therefore i no comprende'
 
Please try not to ask for eta's of CM9, our developer, PlayfulGod, is hard at work. He has a pre-alpha that you can use right now to gasp in it's awesomeness. He will make an announcement when it's done. (then the esteemers will celebrate)

First off welcome to AF masflow 8129 as of right now there's no eta time for cm 9, we have a very good dev ( PG)working on it, if there's any update it would be on the OP :-)

And when it's done there will be a WHOLE new thread. I doubt anyone will miss it. No need in bugging anyone. It's like asking "Are we there yet? Are we there yet?".

Yeah. Its like asking are we there yet when we just left the house on a 2 day trip. My kids are guilty of that.
 
I may be wrong, but it didn't look like he was asking for an ETA, "show some light" to me sounds like he's asking for details on what it is, or just how it's going. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt lol
