whats the name of it in the market? i dont really use these forums ... lol can u just tell me the name in the market? =P i just use this site to help with CM9 if possible

Market?

The theme is a thread here. It's not in the market. It's the windows 7 theme.

What diferences between ics and jb make ics dated? Either way the the differences between the two are much less than the differences between gb and ics. Either way its a win win :D
There's some new stuff n performance enhancements....if i can get some time i'll post.

But overall you're right.

Although I'd rather end up on JB and better capacity phone(at reasonable price) now(or at least before cm9 can eventually get ported)....it's gonna be awhile for cm9, just being realistic about that.

Sorry 4 going off subject.

So how's CM9 coming?
Will we see thus thread shutting down in the near future, and a fresh new thread labeled CM10 in the works for esteem OP'd. By PG.

BOOYA

By the way, I'm using android app, and the pages and posts are all boogered up by the recent trolling as well

Nah for discussing I will just edit the title to CM10.

so does this mean u got everything for cm9 to make the switch to cm10?
atm no, its not compiling, have to figure out all the changes needed to get it to compile. Still not overly worried about it just yet until I get Cm9 booting to the ui etc and be more stable/usable.

so pretty much its gonna be same problem for now but once tht problem is solved it will be easier to keep it stable?

You've gotta keep in mind that jb is still an incremental update to ics. Any dev wanting to make jb work is still going to have to do all the same things that he or she would do to make ics work. :)

+1 hence why I am not in a rush to jump yet. Rather know I have a working repo first than jump and not know if the issues stems from prior issues or jb/cm10 ones. ;)

So your going to finish cm9 and then gobto cm10 like the original plan? I lol

I think you would have to. I dont think you can have one without the other.
No I mean I am going to wait until I have my repo building n booting normally and the ui be smooth like it should be. By watching the logcat, audio and wifi seem to being working, but hard to really know w/o the ui... its current pink-ish but you can get heptic feedback swyping to unlock. lol

This is just for progress reports until there is a workable test ROM to release!

CM9 for the LG Esteem - This is very much still a work in progress!!!!

What works?

boots to lockscreen
Hard & Soft buttons (soft buttons are slow n laggy to respond)
once past the lockscreen by pressing the HOME soft button it gets to the home screen.
search and settings can be opened with soft keys.

If you reboot n get stuck in a bootloop, reboot to CWM n wipe dalvik cache.

RIL working now.

What doesnt work?

Everything else!!!

Linkage:

Pre-ALPHA
I am on ZVD and running ROM#2
Cant open .....zip. thats what im getting at CWR
