to bad, i really wanted to buy the game, but the problem is that the android market accept only credit carts, and in the netherland most of the people dont have any credit cart
You know that there is a lite version available in the market? Also, a CC should not stop you, there are alternatives available. Look at the third mark here: FAQ AndroidGaming.nl
this game sucks hard on my droid !!!!
'Ello! I'm an iPhone user myself, but I've seen the game played and played it on a friend's phone, and thought I'd leave a little feedback. (note: a lot of this has been said already, I just figured I'd be thorough anyhow.
OVERALL: 4/5 right now, 5/5 for what I know/expect it will end up being. I think this game beats the hell out of Tiny Wings -- it takes the bare-bones, core gameplay of Tiny Wings, adds to it and expounds on it. The concept is great, and what you've got so far is great. Once you polish it up and add a lot of the stuff that I know you intend to add, it's going to be a phenomenal game.
::A FEW SPECIFICS::
PERFORMANCE: I've noticed that the vast majority of negative feedback so far has been with regards to performance/framerate/etc. On my friend's HTC Inspire, it runs like a dream on High settings. For some (*cough* Illiger *cough*), it would be enough for the software to run on the highest-end hardware, with no concern for people (like me) with older phones (e.g. -- Tiny Wings barely runs on my iPhone 3). Fex, on the other hand, is doing his best to make this backwards-compatible to older devices. Good on him for that; however, I'd like to just say that I think it's about finding the right balance between performance and gameplay. Fact of the matter is that, at some point, folks with older phones are just gonna' have to accept that a game designed for new phones isn't going to run well. You can only sacrifice so much game quality for game performance, before it just becomes counter-productive. Of course, there are things that can be done to improve the game on older phones, and I trust Fex is doing his best.
GRAPHICS: A few things. First, I'd like to see the hills be a little more rounded and less jagged. However, I realize the reason they're jagged is to make it run smoother. Second, I'd also like to see a more obvious graphic for the multiplier. Tiny Wings has "fever mode," and while I realize the multiplier system works a little different in Dillo Hills, as it is now I have a hard time telling what multiplier I'm at/etc. Maybe make the multiplier star in the bottom left pulse or flash or something? Also, some sort of introductory cinema would be nice. Sort of like the first time you play Angry Birds or Tiny Wings.
META-GAMING: You need some. I know you're working on this. A few suggestions: achievements, unlockable characters, level-up systems, unlockable songs. Stuff like that. All that good stuff that keeps us coming back for more. One thing though: in Tiny Wings, you really can't set a respectable high score until you get to the max level. I don't like that. I would like things that are unlocked to be "just for fun" type stuff, instead of necessary things.
GAMEPLAY: I need a pause menu. Especially for when I get a text or something like that. Losing my progress would be frustrating, and would end up making me hate all my friends for texting me while I play. I also wouldn't mind an "Adventure" mode, with all of the birds and clouds and mushrooms and stuff -- then a separate "Arcade" mode, with just the bare-bones gameplay. Maybe somewhere down the road? Also, I've seen a few complaints about the physics (going up/down too slowly, etc.), and I'd just like to say that I think the physics are spot-on. It takes a few game of getting-used-to, as a Tiny Wings player, but now that I'm used to it it feels great.
OTHER: Change the name in the market to "Dillo Hills" (without the apostrophe). I bet you'll get twice as many hits. Also, if at all possible, adding Openfeint scoreboards would be great. And I'd love to be able to listen to my own music while playing. This game deserves Iron & Wine in the background. <3
That's about all I have to say. Overall, I'm in love with it. Think given a few more updates and a little professional polish, this game is gonna really soar (no pun intended).
Oh, last but not least. When do I get to play this on my iPhone? ;]
Cheers
