Root {DISCONTINUED}MegaTron 6.2.5 (Updated 7/13/13)

i finally just used the link. Ota never did allow me to download it kept saying download error. Now I am trying to figure out how to change the wallpaper from the coffee cup or how to access the themes.

Only issue I found with the new update is the clock in the drop down menu its 1250 am here it just says 50 lol,everything else works like a charm another awesome update u guys.
 
I just installed new megatron, its way awesome and thanks nuch for it! I am having an issue where audio will not play out. When I turn up the volume it makes the beep noise though so I am confused as to why I cannot hear internet videos or preview my ringtones.

EDIT: nevermind I'm just a moron. Reboot took care of it, again excellent mod looks grreat and runs like a dream!
 
even though i don't use megatron its good to know chev and mak are still deving for this device thanks for all your hard work and and development theirs a lot of us out there that appreciate it

That's an odd issue, indeed. I use the Google Play Music app, myself. Without meaning to sound too much like a...sales rep, for lack of a better term (the app and services are free), it has all the same functionality as the stock music app, with the added bonus of allowing me to upload up to 20,000 songs to Google's servers, and access or listen to them from up to eight devices, be it a computer with speakers and an internet connection, or an Android device.
 
I followed the instructions to perform the update and it didn't work. I got the md5 error when I went through OTA updater. Then I downloaded from the link above and it linked me to the old 6.0.4.zip. I installed it anyway over top of the MegaTron I was already running. It still says Megatron 6.0.4. I don't have any of the new features. In other words, it didn't work. Any suggestions?
 
Download the version for your phone from the links provided in post #3149 (Boost) or #3159 (Sprint), move the zip file to your phone's SD card if necessary, then flash the file in ClockWorkMod. This assumes that you've already backed up your apps and data using Titanium Backup, or some similar app beforehand.

Sprint OTA server down right now, Boost is still running and never went down over night. We have over 1000 downloads in less than 24 hours. I'll get sprint up again in an hour.
 
Anyone have any ETA on when the OP will contain the update and themes? No rush just wondering.
 
Ran into an issue; While trying to change the wallpaper to one on the pictures on my phone thru ICS Gallery, when I clicked "set as" the menu for "contact icon or wallpaper" just kept flashing on my screen......

I uninstalled Gallery ICS and installed quicpic, problem solved but while uninstalling Gallery ICS with TB, I got a message saying that uninstalling this program may mess up my phone and I would have to re-install my rom. Is that the case ?

I dont know if it is safe to uninstall certain programs and use others, for instance I prefer the dolphin browser can I safely uninstall any program as long as I replace it with one of my choosing ? Any help would be appreciated.


One last question, Will "wipe dalvik cache" or "wipe cache partition" mess with the partition I made on the SD card when I intalled Megatron 6.1 ? And if so, do I need to make the partition again ?
 
No problems so far with the boost version. OTA updater didn't work so I did it manually, wiped cache and data, restored from TI and everything is smooth.

Just use the 'Freeze' option instead of uninstalling, if you are unsure. You can easily unfreeze an app if it ends up causing problems.
