Root {DISCONTINUED}MegaTron 6.2.5 (Updated 7/13/13)

great rom!!
the change log says "added support for custom system backgrounds"
anyone know how to use this?

This was copied from the System backround link I gave you earlier : ---->JUST OPEN FRAMERWORK WITH 7ZIP AND REPLACE THE IMAGE MY_BACKGROUND.PNG FOR THE ONE U WANT

I like 99% of the 6.1 update. However, the 1% has me considering going back to 6.04. The system button color is less than ideal. I hate to be critical of all of the hard work you guys have put in, but light blue on gray is difficult to read. Is there any way to change this setting somewhere or download a different theme?

Thanks!

Download the version for your phone from the links provided in post #3149 (Boost) or #3159 (Sprint), move the zip file to your phone's SD card if necessary, then flash the file in ClockWorkMod. This assumes that you've already backed up your apps and data using Titanium Backup, or some similar app beforehand.

Thanks man. I got it working now. I've been running MegaTron for about 6 months now. It's freakin BAWS!! I'd like to suggest some Megatron Wallpapers to come stock with 6.2. I always theme it out with them...and transformers ringtones.

many thanks to chevanlol and the other gentlemen for the hard work they put into this fine rom, thank you!

i will agree with fleapower above that the light-blue text on the grey buttons is somewhat hard to read

I am not doubting you both, so please don't see it that way but I don't have an issue seeing it. Plus it really does look good.

I have to agree about the light blue on grey buttons being harder to see, but I didn't want to complain since I put no work into this ;)

I'm sure since everyone has slightly different eyes that it may be harder for some to see than others.

Your right it is a little hard to see but how often do you actually use the apps that cause that. My own experience, not very often. But you are right...

I'm not sure if your question was rhetorical, but I encounter this problem multiple times throughout the day. My task list app has this problem as does Gmail, several utilities, and Titanium Backup (which is an app I probably don't want to have a hard time reading the buttons ).

Lol....

Now that I think about it, the email options when you check an email has those same colors which I use at least 200 times a day... but I guess I just got use to it...

Lights out in super bowl haha...gives me times to say nice update chev and mav...love the smoothness sick rom all way through no complaints here....

...Who remembers $hEvRoN?...

I tried it for a few days, but flashed back to stock because the stock email app or whatever one was provided as such wouldn't allow me to receive my work email without setting an unlock password (really hate having to try using the on-screen password or slide my keyboard open in order to use my phone). It was right around that same time that Megatron was announced, so I decided to wait and see what would become of this "new" ROM.

Before this phone, I waited for the manufacturer's warranty to expire before messing around with any of my electronic devices (PCs excluded), and even then, as far as phones are concerned, I wasn't as much of a part of the community as I am now; I would root, flash a ROM, and add a few suggestions to those who were struggling, but otherwise didn't do much to contribute.

Hard to believe how much has changed in a year...:burnout:
