Root {DISCONTINUED}MegaTron 6.2.5 (Updated 7/13/13)

Also, is there any chance of any future update implementing a kernel compiled with L2CAP support on the Bluetooth modules, or is that really outside the scope of this?

I ask as I heard the various custom ROMs for other Android devices had newly compiled Bluetooth drivers/sets allowing for paring with a variety of devices (including bluetooth Wii controllers), but the stock Samsung bluetooth doesn't support L2CAP/HID for some silly reason... I know there isn't a stable version of Cyanogen for the Transform Ultra, but I knew the Cyanogen roms support this bluetooth function, and I was curious if there was a way to "patch" it into our units...

Not gonna happen, kernels aren't my things and since I don't have an ultra anymore its definitely not gonna happen. My dev'ing days are starting to slow down.

im running the beta and it runs real well - chev says, probably when the final is released, you can just install over the beta and have things left intact, hes not quite sure yet though

I'm interested in trying Google keyboard. I know megatron is based on gingerbread and themed like 4.0. Is it possible to use Google keyboard with this phone?

I personally like adw launcher since cyanogen team made it their default launcher in cm7 but probably any customized launcher from the market will work. Go, Apex, Nova, Next, and Smart launcher are a few of the most popular ones...

Hi everyone,

Ive been in contact with Chevanlol360 quite a bit lately and as usual, he has been hard at work with android learning how to compile a few derivitives of AOKP like Carbon & paranoid android. In talking to him I've come to realize that the desktop PC he is using and has been using is quite dated and isnt really enough hardware wise to properly compile from source. Honestly, i dont know how he does it at all...

As you may or may not know, the donation link posted in the OP and in his signiture belongs to me. Ive never used any of it for myself and recently, I was going to just send it to him but I think it would bennefit him (being a young guy who just graduated high school and is about to head off to college) more to give him a proper PC with some decent hardware.

The donations total up to just enough to buy him a replacement motherboard for the PC he is using. Also, I build custom desktop computers for people as a side buisness/hoby and im sending him 8gb of G-Skill gaming RAM that i pulled from a non-workin system to go along with the motherboard.

He has also informed me that he is dual-booting Linux(for android) and windows on a single 250GB hard drive. That is barely enough for windows much less an android build system. So, what I'm asking for is if we could all come together as a community and help out someone who's hard work has bennefitted us all.

A proper hard drive for an android build box is 2TBs in size and those cost about $100.00 U.S. including shipping so the goal is $100.

Please be aware that Chev has no idea that i'm asking this. Its all me. He is a very modest guy and probably would never ask for donations. He does this all just for fun.

Please help in any way you can. Any help is truly apperciated!!
To all who have donated, Thank you!!

What is the deal with removing the chrome? that's my favorite part of 6.0.3?:smokingsomb:

Edit:
After last update

Just in case others download 6.2.5 and don't know...

DON'T UPDATE AFTER INSTALLING MEGATRON 6.2.5!!! For some reason, after installing the beta, OTA Updater wants you to install an older version, and I think this is what is getting people in trouble and causing them to brick their phones.

I download Maxthon

I like stuck (no typo) browser better than any other that I've tried. I'm partial to bare- bones stuff like that because of battery life. Just clear your cache and data regularly and stock browser performs fine.

I am pumped for an official release. I am too much of a wuss to try it in a beta stage.:p Thanks for all of your hard work. Also thanks to all the testers out there.

I seem to be getting "Error fetching update info: No peer certificate." When I try to update.

dont use update from sdcard feature in cwm, go to the install from sdcard and find the zip in the OTA Updater fodler and select the zip hit yes and it will install, reboot and your done.
