Hey man I checked this out but I just wanted to mention that our phone (tu) came with stock swype. So the warning:
How will this work?
Easy! Register with an email address
accessible via your mobile device and
receive a link to download Swype. If your
phone came pre-installed with Swype DO
NOT download this beta (it won't work).
That is on the website. So looks like not something we tu guys could use

um I have a tu running $hevron with swype beta...
and my prevail also had swype installed stock

just uninstall swype first.. Sorry forgot to mention that
 
I cant wait for the update im very excited beacause its already a great rom i dont know wats gonna make it better please give us a sneak peek atleast some screenshots
 
No rush fix it up good man. As for the rest of you be patient it coming. They wouldn't leave us hangin

Ah that makes sense. Can't wait guys. Uber excited. Like times a million. I have been holding out on getting any new rom until this comes out. So this will tech be my first rom. ;-) unless u count the stock rom I had to flash to fix a bunch of noob mistakes like deleting the message apk cuz I thought go sms would take its place and not make a backup lmao. The things u learn by screwing up hahaha
 
Notice the top of the notification screen.. That was me :D and these colored menus, signal bars, contacts, and diler are some theming things you can't do in UOT. Chev had to manually add these.. this is only a few things we did. not even close to all.. We are also going to put out three versions red, this blue, and green the blue will come first..

Hey Mavrik...say we wanted to add a uot theme to your and Shevs rom...would it kill the toggles in the notifacation bar?
 
no they are hard coded into the systemui.apk.. but they will stay the same as the theme you started with.. you would have to flash the uot.zip to put your theme on it and then if you wanted to theme the toggles you have to copy the systemui.apk to your computer, open the archive, and put in new icons(with the exact same name) in place of the old ones. It's called "quickpanel" and move that systemui.apk back to /system/app and reboot
 
looks like you guys put some serious time and energy into this rom..i apreciate the work guys...so hurry up and post it and stop stalling lol :D

hahahahahahaha.. we just need a few days to test for bugs but I don't think it will be beta for long..

And @ johnny.. I know you'll know what I'm talking about,

it won't be put out with init.d support just yet but I'm working on the Bobzhome boot.img as we speek with a few guys in the irc. hoping we will have it by next week. I already wrote a ramscript for it :D

lol bro i already got a folder on my sd with like 10 different scripts..ready to fire off when we get that support.:cool:..i check everyday for an update about init.d sense you told me a few weeks ago..i can not wait :)

Version 5.0 will be released on Tuesday March 13th. Its been a long road into making version 5.0 but mavrikmeercat and i got through it. We have added some amazing and useful features that im sure you will all love. The theme looks amazing in version 5.0, the signal bars are finally themed, the dialer and also the settings applications has been themed. The status bar is rocking the quick panel feature with a transparent background. The ROM is now deodexed and useless stock apps has been uninstalled. Much more stuff has been added to the ROM and in less than 56 hours you will be running the best version ever of the shevron rom.

please find a post or reply that mavrikmeercat has made on this thread and hit the thanks button, he has put in countless of hours into making version 5 with me. Donations are appreciated
