Root [DISCONTINUED] MegaTron 6.2.5

I have the flashlight toggle enabled in the quick panel settings, but it's not showing up there. Is this working for anyone else? This is on the sprint version, fwiw.

Good try though and that app is great. I've been recommending here on AF for about a year or so now. I run it on all of my devices and use it all the time as a matter of fact. Just keep in mind one thing though..... Some devices will boot back up saying an improper shutdown happened. Not all but some. Had it happen on my HTC One SV. Switched kernels and it didn't give me the warning again. Just a heads up in case you ever see it.
 
Just had my phone crap out hoping for help. I have a refurb boost marquee running on ting. I am using this rom its been my daily driver for months. I have been having lagginess issues but ignoring them as its in every from I tried. Today it was getting really bad and I went to reboot. Accidentally hit hot boot. When it came back up a CPU monitor app I had
Off was running, all my Widgets and shortcuts are gone, and most of my apps force close, including Gmail. I have tried a full reboot and a cache wipe. I am away from home and have no PC so I am at a loss. Luckily the browser will still run. Any help appreciated!

Do a factory reset, wipe cache ,and dalvik. That should do away with all the force closes .

I did not realize the new version had come out. Once I saw that and got to a PC, I waited hours for goo.im and upgraded. All is good now. Thanks.

I do hate that my phone is so stuttery and sometimes liable to overheat. I think I got a crappy one. Even at stock clocks, if you charge and run GPS at the same time I better have it stuffed in the AC vent of the car. Sigh.

I did see an odd bug in the new version that I have not been able to repeat. I used the volume button to click the ringer all the way off for about 2 hours this morning, then later turned it back up. I did not notice till about an hour later that the voice directions were not coming through on my GPS. When I got to my destination 2 hours later, I checked, all sound was dead. I tried the quick bar, the volume button, and settings, all were fine. The only fix I found was a reboot.

If it happens again I will let you know and if there is anything I can do (pull logs, etc) I am more than happy to help.

Ive been in contact with Chevanlol360 quite a bit lately and as usual, he has been hard at work with android learning how to compile a few derivitives of AOKP like Carbon & paranoid android. In talking to him I've come to realize that the desktop PC he is using and has been using is quite dated and isnt really enough hardware wise to properly compile from source. Honestly, i dont know how he does it at all...

As you may or may not know, the donation link posted in the OP and in his signiture belongs to me. Ive never used any of it for myself and recently, I was going to just send it to him but I think it would bennefit him (being a young guy who just graduated high school and is about to head off to college) more to give him a proper PC with some decent hardware.

The donations total up to just enough to buy him a replacement motherboard for the PC he is using. Also, I build custom desktop computers for people as a side buisness/hoby and im sending him 8gb of G-Skill gaming RAM that i pulled from a non-workin system to go along with the motherboard.

He has also informed me that he is dual-booting Linux(for android) and windows on a single 250GB hard drive. That is barely enough for windows much less an android build system. So, what I'm asking for is if we could all come together as a community and help out someone who's hard work has bennefitted us all.

A proper hard drive for an android build box is 2TBs in size and those cost about $100.00 U.S. including shipping so the goal is $100.

Please be aware that Chev has no idea that i'm asking this. Its all me. He is a very modest guy and probably would never ask for donations. He does this all just for fun.

Please help in any way you can. Any help is truly apperciated!!

Well I don't want to be misleading... Right now he's just learning how to compile from source.
I've been working with him and answering questions to share whatever I know. Right now we are working on CarbonRom. His test device is his own personal phone which is the Warp Sequent. He doesn't have a marquee but that's never stopped him before. I have successfully compiled and have achieved a fully working Carbon for my Samsung galaxy tab 2 7" and we decided to try doing it on the sequent. Once we get it totally working on the sequent, I would be happy to try on the marquee as well. I just posted here because I'm sure you guys would like to help him out.

Forgot someone donated a marquee to me mav? lol but yeah like mav said we will be happy to try on the marquee. Im currently looking at device trees and cm 10.1 kernels for the p970, we'll see how it goes but i will most likely try to compile something off 4.1 or 4.2.2 for the marquee.

thanks, means a lot. Dont know if i'll get to it that fast, while i was looking at the JB device tree for the marquee, its a big huge mess. im not good with device trees but i know when one isnt in good shape, i'll take a look at the ics tree for it in a few days to see if its any better. A bit busy right now, JB OTA coming for the sequent on monday so i gotta be on the lookout to root it and release to my sequent members. Also busy with prevails megatron.

Unfortunately I won't be able to be a tester until it's a pretty stable ROM, since the Marquee is my daily driver, but I do look forward to seeing JB on here.

I just sent a little something for the cause! :thumbup: good luck with learning about JB trees, and hope that the computer /drive makes it easier.

Just looked at the tree myself.. It is a mess but I think I could straighten it out.. Looks like its time to team up again bro ;)

We we're but a couple months ago someone donated a sprint marquee to me.
:cool: Just let me know man, anytime is good for me.
 
I've noticed that my phone is overheating very often, just watching a short video on YouTube or playing a game for a few minutes makes the heat sensor in out of wack. In at 1.2-120 and smartassv2 with noop, even with other settings I get overheated a lot. Anything I can do about this?
