Root [DISCONTINUED][ROM][5.1.1][MS345] Unofficial CyanogenMod 12.1 for LG Leon

Asking for an ETA has always been an insult on the several dev forums and user support forums for the 5+ years that I've been rooting.

Someone volunteers their time and guess what - fixing bugs doesn't have a hard schedule.

It takes what it takes.

And another thing that is always appreciated in a new rom or an old rom - it's where everyone takes the extra moment to please be excellent to one another.

That's not been happening here.

After hearing Mike's side, I'm agreeing to close this thread.

I hope that it may reopen in future but that's not my decision.

Anyone unhappy, I'm sorry - tap my name, drop me a line.

Meanwhile -

OK - @MikeHoncho is willing to hang in and try this again.

Let's all be very clear -

- No bickering, catcalling, or nonsense

- No ETAs

- No anything entitled or abusive

- No whining about the thread closing or how I'm opening it

^ This is a formal warning, and failure will be met with infractions, not the least of which is failure to heed a formal warning.

I'm not going to spell it out any further for adults, it's not necessary, and no negotiations over the words, explicit or not explicit, will apply, neither will, "I didn't get the warning personally."

Just be excellent to one another, and follow the dev's lead. ;)

Rom on! :)

That is so awesome!!! Thank you! Now that its open, huge favor. I rooted my Metro pcs lg leon, and i have the orange twrp installed. When i first got it, i did a update to 10e from 10b. I then downgraded to 10d. When i was on 10e my device said it was c50. Now it is ms34510d. Heres my question :
How would i get rid of my orange twrp to install the blue one for CM12.1? When i try flashing CM12.1 through twrp, i get an error telling me the rom is for c50. The blue twrp wont flash successfully, and it is also unsuccessful using twrp manager. When i tried flashing the blue twrp for cm12.1 in twrp manager, it was unsuccessful, broke twrp (secure booting error
Error 1000) on lg logo screen., every time i tried booting into recovery. I fixed the issue by enabling oem unlock and flashing an older version 2.8.6.0. through twrp manager. I now have root and an older version of the orange twrp. How do i install the blue one and flash CM12.1? Thanks for yalls help and sorry for the long post.

Try downloading the file over again then using Flashify or dd.
@Jack Mickey I was in your exact position on my other lg Leon, and the way to go is flashify IMO. It worked for me now running cm and the blue twrp. Get the blue twrp IMG file from the link in the OP and get flashify from play store. I believe there is already a post in this thread on how to install twrp with flashify but if you have any questions feel free to PM me @Jack Mickey

This ROM is amazingly smooth while running a lot. I play coc while listening to my music and it runs fluidly. I minimize coc, open a video in viral, have it playing in the corner while returning to clash and still smooth as butter.(until my data cap is reached *,.,*) I got one of the really small gapps pckgs and it works fine for my Google needs. Got the script from the thread in lg Leon root and battery time is now even better and phone doesn't heat as much. All around awesome. Thank you Devs very much for everything!! The known bugs are annoying but they should pass in coming releases so nothing new there. Only negative things I've found have already been addressed so again thank you LEPT and I'm excited to see this ROM flourish :). P.S.... Kernel needs... Work.. But i still greatly appreceate it and everything :) :) :)

Hi guys I'm new on here. anyways i was wondering if this ROM will work with the T-Mobile LG Leon. i know in the beginning of this post it said it was only for the metro pcs version, but after reading through it and other posts on this forum I understand some people got it to work on their T-Mobile Leon's. So i was wondering or not if anyone can confirm if this ROM would work with the T-Mobile Leon. I wouldn't mind being a guinea pig lol.

It works fine on mine.

As far as I know DTW is not a standard CM feature on any platform. It'll probably have to wait for a custom kernel.
Wouldn't DTW work if we just took the kernel from the stock rom, and just flash it with CM? Also, is knock code part of the kernel, or is it some app?

Thanks man! Got it working! Cm12.1 was amazing. Super quick and visually appealing. I decided to flash back to stock after battery issues, which im sure will be fixed in later builds. Great rom LEPT and thanks for everyones hard work and help!

Lol same here! I can't wait to see how this rom turns out when it's finished, with kernels and stuff too!! But didn't you say you were working on a kernel too?
Not me personally, I have a friend interested in bringing his talents to the Leon. If I had a computer, I'd be on it ASAP though

Oh. That's sounds good. I wish I knew how to do that, but I wouldn't even know how to start! Do I need to take special classes, or could I just learn from my phone?

The internet is your playground. There are lots of tutorials online in regards to development. It does take a lot of patience and strong understanding of the Linux platform, but anyone with enough dedication can do it. Certainly not something you could build from your phone, a PC would be required and LOTS of time

Thanks for the reply I would love to learn, and I'll probably start learning, but I can't have a computer lol. I'll probably get a laptop soon, so I think that's good enough. Thanks again
