Anyone know how to tell if it is JB or ICS? I"ve never seen JB jet. Looks like ICS on my wife's Maxx.

Edit, found this on ZDNET:
It took them look enough, but with the next release of Android, Jelly Bean, Google has finally brought its Chrome Web browser to Android.
Google brought its popular Chrome Web browser to Android Ice Cream Sandwich as a beta feature earlier this year. Today, at Google Input/Output, Google quietly showed that Chrome will now be built into Jelly Bean.

So, I don't think VZW would put a beta chrome on the HD with ICS, so I guess it might be JB?

The write up from Droid Life does say that it's ICS but I suppose they could be mistaken.

I like to hope that it's going to be Jelly Bean!

But to me, not a huge deal either way, because if it's ICS, I positive that JB will be in the Razr HD's not to distant future.

It is ICS. If you look at the search bar on the home screen it is not the one for Jelly Bean. Also, chrome is out of beta.

I like the fact that they are sticking with with same style. The corners are a little more curved, but they didn't completely change to design of the phone.

The current Razr design reminds me of the old 19th century wood caskets (the corners). Which I suppose you would like. ;)

Both the current and leaked Razr form factors are fine for me. I do agree the current devices have a ton of bezel but that's been beat to death. But I would sacrifice thin for smaller bezel personally.

I'm starting to get cold feet about paying full retail though. I just bought and restored these bad boys and it nicked me a little.

You know, I never really looked at it that way, but it might actually be one of the reasons I like it.;) I was more or less thinking of the design making the phone stand out. There is an AMC (movie theater) that I take the kids to and they have a poster, about their app, in the lobby. In the poster there is an iPhone to represent the iOS app and a Moto Razr to represent the Android app. The poster makes me smile every time I see it. The subtle differences make the Razr stand out as such a different phone from the iPhone. Regardless of the lawsuits and the arguments, there are a lot of phones that don't really differentiate themselves from the iPhone with just the form factor. I'm not saying that there is blame to be had as there are only so many designs that can be used for a rectangular phone. Moto did come up with something different though and I think that is pretty cool. It isn't easily confused by anyone with half a brain and it still looks good. Not a easy task these days to be original.

The phones are side by side in the poster, but this gives you an idea.

Nice drums, btw.

The kevlar back sure will set it apart from everything else.
If they put the Razr in front of the iPhone, the scale would be better...iPhone is way smaller than the Razr, screen and all.

Hah! You're so right! That pic makes the iPhone look like a Note. And talk about bezel...

It appears to me that they made the iPhone bigger so that the screen sizes on the two phones would be comparable. (the same size) If they made both phones actual size the writing on the iPhone would be much smaller.

Do you think whoever made and approved the poster might be an apple person? :smokingsomb:

Regarding the new videos leaked. It appears the person changed closed the acct and then re-opened it again under a different user name. The day they were posted I watched them then the videos were pulled because I went back later and they were gone and the profile was closed. Now it looks like there back under a diff profile. LOL

Also regarding that pic of the iphone against the Razr that is really deceiving. Current iPhone is tiny screen 3.5 actual screen is a whole lot smaller than the Razr.

There is a new video of on youtube of someone taking measurements with a electronic ruler of the new iphone 5 glass plate. It was funny cause I was comparing it to my droid incred 1 and based on screen size it was only a tiny bit larger than my Inc 1.

Here it is:

4" is so 2 years ago Android wise. Probably more. My 2year DX is 4.3.
I wonder how the taller screen will work? I.e. it's still 2" wide which seems smart for compatibility with docks etc.

I thought I would like a 4" screen until I went to Staples the other day and put my RAZR and a Bionic that was on display next to an Inc 4G.

4.3" screen is the smallest I can do now. Once you use a bigger screen for movies, games, web browsing, GPS......I seriously dont think most ppl would go back to a smaller screen.

Dirk, you left something out:

:smokingsomb:

:D

Yuuuupp! guess I did! Haha. I have an excuse though, it was 2:30am here in Hawaii when I posted that.

I feel flattered that someone/you noticed, I'm impressed. :smokingsomb::smokingsomb: (an extra one to make up for the one I missed in my previous post)

Now, where's that Razr HD we're all waiting for? :smokingsomb:

No, we're looking for the XT926. :smokingsomb:

It might as well be the HD. The only difference is the screen. Black, flat, kevlar, S3, 1gb ram, non removable battery, etc.
I hope the RHD is also $150, nice phone, but not cutting edge.
