Dlev ROM3 for KI4 out now

Thanks for the tip. Played around a bit and came up with 775 m for 100 ... 500 MHz, 825 for 500 - 800 MHz, 900m for 800 - 1000 MHz, 1000 mV for 1 - 1.2 GHz and I left the 1250m for 1.2 GHz+, The result is impressive and I am now going with 10% of battery power per day, including running Wifi and GPS at night.

Nice... 100MHz - 1000MHz are all lower than I'm running. You could probably safely drop that 1200MHz voltage down quite a bit too, given the way it runs otherwise. Mine is solid at 1125mV, tested with an hour of Stability Test's 'Scaling test', 45mins of the 'Classic test' and three back-to-back AnTuTu benchmark runs with the Performance governor at 1200MHz, 1400MHz and 1600MHz. I reckoned if it survived that torture then it was good for anything I'd throw at it in normal use. :)

Once Siyah 2.2 goes gold I plan to do some more experimenting....

Hi, a few more questions regarding the use of dlevrom 3.1, and I hope that someone has an answer. The dlevrom 3.1 is supposed to enable SIP over Wifi and 3G, but I am unable to find how I can configure this. Or, do I need to install for examplecsipsimple in order to use this?
I also read that call recording is featured, but same issue, unable to find any info. Anyone have experience with these aspects?
Thanks

you need a kernel that supports it eg siyah, and an app such as voltage control or set cpu (from market)

I've got setcpu, and liking it. Just got the 'standard' root kernel, so guess i'll look into flashing siyah.

thanks :)

Hi,

a question about dlevrom, which I posted already today, but for some reason the post showed earlier and has now disappeared in space.
The rom is supposed to feature SIP over Wifi/3G, but I can not find any information of how to activate it. Am I maybe supposed to use an app as CSipsimple? Anyone has an answer?
Also, I read that call recording is a feature, but I have checked the SD card, and there is no recordings to find. How does this work?

Thanks

Oops ... missed that one.

Anyone know more about SIP and Call recording? Just to give it a trial, installed CSipSimple and Total Recall S2 (optimized for sgs2). We'll see how they act.

Here a quick first report on CSIPSimple and Total recall S2. Have given both a one time use, and impression is good, pretty well engineered, both integrate into the phone system.
Total recall can be configured to pop up a window after a call is finished, asking if you want to save the call or disgard it. The sound file is written as a 3gp file, and quality is excellent. I only have an issue with the volume setting, pretty low.
CSIPSimple: When entering a number on the standard keypad and pressing dial a window pops up, giving you the choice between VOIP or "mobile". I tried both. For VOIP you have in settings a long list of servers you can connect too, but lacking any information, I simply selected "local host", whatever that means. Sound quality was OK, but will have to try again in the busy hours, and see how much noise I scoop up.

Hi guys,

Looks like Dlev will not be updating his rom any time soon. I am thinking of releasing my custom rom here rather than on xda. Will update all of you on this tomorrow.

I already have a custom KL1 up and running with lidroid mod. Now with miui lockscreen available as a standalone apk, I am happy without JKay mod.

Note: Don't try the latest KP1 ICS. Its horrible.

@Slug: Androidforum doesn't have tapatalk support?

Good news. Please contact the Admin/Community Manager (Phases) to discuss creating your own sub-forum in the Android Development section, if you think that is something that would be of use.

Even better. :)

I think most of us have seen Vertamus' comment, if not the video. ;)

Nope, Rob (the owner) vetoed it some months back due to security concerns. There's a dedicated app available on the Market (Phandroid App) now.

Sounds very good indeed Silesh. :)
I've been contemplating lidroid ROM 1.4.2 for a few weeks now, primarily to see how the lidroid theme manager and lockscreen compares to Jkay, but only held back due to the fact that it was still KI3 based.
I shall certainly give your KL1 version a go tho.
:)

Ah, That one.

Don't worry abt giving me impossible tasks. You will get your chance soon. :D
Hawker has given me a big one, but not impossible.

I'm sure it will be a doddle for a man of your talents Silesh! :)

My Shade of Dusk (small!) wish list

What a fussy bugger I am! :D

Yes its a shame about Dlev putting his ROM on hold. Dlev and CheckROM are two of the best I have tried up to now, but am very keen to see lidroid now, especially now that you're on board Silesh. :)

Also noticed that 3.1 now adds send/received SMS to the call logs which was not the case in v2.
Personally I prefer these going into the logs, but if you do not want this, installing the mod from CheckROM's kitchen will do the trick

Sorry for the NOOB question but can i have a link to said kitchen
Just dont want to mess up and googling does not give me a clear answer

You'll be lucky old boy... there isn't a Kitchen on DlevROM! :D

I think you may be getting a little confused ith CheckROM that comes with a Kitchen.

The nearest thing to a Kitchen on DlevROM is the indefatigable sileshnair and his brilliant mod's and themes for this ROM, here:-

[Themes & Mods] DlevROM2 - ICS theme online - xda-developers

Hope this helps. :D

You can however download CheckROM's kitchen app, and use it do download mods/themes etc. for whatever ROM you are using.

The only problem being, some (not all) of the zips specifically test for KK5 firmware and you will need to edit the scripts in order to install. Even then, you do so at your own risk as some of the mods are actually specific to the firmware, so you will need to know what you can and cant install.

Yeah... or you could do what hawker says... "Do you feel lucky?"

Depends on your level of knowledge and expertise.

hawker now sends me pictures showing the answer when I ask him a question. :D
