Being a part of the show and one that was all over the news sites/social media the other day, I thought to mention it.
Ah nice, I posted the prediction I'd read that they'd add a second companion to appeal to the other half earlier.

We won't know until we get to see the new episodes. I am going to reserve judgment until I've seen him in the role.

Well, who is? Personally, I try to not compare companions to one another. Each has had their own strengths and weaknesses. Some I've really liked, some not so much, but always on their own merits. For example, many people don't like Clara simply because she isn't Rose or Amy. I don't think that's fair, so I'm trying not to apply the same logic in this instance.
I agree completely.
He's also not Felix the Cat, my mail carrier or the Battleship Potemkin.
Others that are no Captain Jacks include Clara, the 4th Doctor, and Strax.
And I reserve the right to widen this list after actually seeing the character in an episode.
For all we know, this new companion guy is no Marilyn Monroe either!

I think that we can compare companions just like we have Doctors, or discuss the pros and cons of comparisons to etc etc.

I was smashing the report button so hard but I think it's broken. But then I did some digging and discovered that there is a line of forum script that prevents me from reporting.

And yea, I'm *familiar* with her from watching interviews and talk about how certain things played out during Matt's tenure. Saw them talking about her and her man's exit from show. I saw the ?weeping angels? in a more recent episode and that was the first I heard/saw of them.

OH, I'm familiar with the movie. Love all the marvel endeavors. Just didn't know she was in it, and wasn't sure that's what you were talking about.
I just meant how they left the show, within the show. I'm referring to what happened on screen, hide tags never work well for me when I'm on the app so don't wanna post what happened in her last episode if you haven't seen it.

I'm up to date on the current Who episodes. The way you said it made it sound like there was some drama behind the scenes with Matt Smith. I didn't think anyone had a problem with him. He seems delightful from the interviews.
Ahh, I figured. They are at Comic Con together right now in Kentucky so I'm sure they get along great.

Half of my modern Whovian friends don't know who Elizabeth Sladen was, so I tend to not be surprised when a newer fan doesn't know certain characters.

She was fantastic in School Reunion. I miss her so much. Never has a celebrity's death affected me like hers.
