It's very smooth and quick Steven. It's large with it's 5.0 screen and the boom speakers on front. You will like sense 6.0, it's very well integrated and quick. If you are into social, it has a nice blinkfeed page that isn't annoying but quite functional. I put a case on this phone... first phone ever. The case is beautiful but with it's rounded edges and back I was a bit concerned about the grip. I have no complaints about the camera. I'm not a photo buff and those that are seem to think it's short sheeted in comparison to S5. The pics I've taken are as good or better than what I'm accustomed to. The battery life is simply incredible. A normal 16 hour day will not take half of the battery life. A day of little use will leave you with 85% . All in all it's a great phone. No glaring negatives for me to report.

Thank you for taking the time to report. HTC is quality. My wife had the old incredible. The call quality is fantastic. I'm looking for that in the next phone, myself, as I don't use the home phone, I gave up my studio/work phone number and solely use my cell. Who woulda thunk it that we all would be mobile in the future. I'm mobile.

Entirely my pleasure Steven. You will quickly appreciate the quality of build of the M8. In HTC fashion, it's one well built machine. As far as quality of calls go.... I notice no difference from the quality I'm accustomed to with the Dinc and the Rezound. Stellar quality.

Isn't it odd how time changes how we stay connected with friends and family. I still have a home/business line here at the olbriar ranch. I never use the home phone and could easily live without it. I take all of my business calls on my cell and my kids rarely call but text all of the time. I admit that I text them often and rarely call. Would have never thought it would come to that.. but it has, and I like it.

3 pages to read when I come in here, WOW! Color me surprised, lol

Glad to hear you scored a One olbriar. I think think HTC really found their stride with the one series. The OneMax still impresses me, waiting for the sense 6 upgrade now (already got 4.4).

I must say though, 6" is perhaps a little too big. I think 5" is the sweet spot.

I'm still lovin the M8. I've been so busy that I haven't completely set it up lol. I like everything about it. It's so smooth and quick. You will love sense 6.0.

Glad to hear you're pleased with the htc, ol. I passed over this round of upgrades and will continue to wait. Verizon helped me pass over this round by taking the S5 off of the bogo offer. I replaced my my wife's failing dinc with my daughter's old dinc that we had upgraded from. So, the need to upgrade waned. Just as well as I'd like to see what the g3, iphone phablet and note 4 look like.

I'm still with my Incredible 4G, but had to get a warranty replacement in December. This one is getting worse by the day and not I am not able to answer calls or open up texts about 50% of the time and it often takes minutes to make a phone call. After 3 weeks of battling the big V and doing numerous tech support calls, they finally said they would replace it, but when the guy put in the order, it said it was out of stock and the only thing available is the Droid DNA. For my tiny hands, a 4" screen is perfect. I returned a Rezound because I didn't like the way it felt. The DNA is 5" and I've heard it is larger than the SG4. I asked a rep I know who works at Costco and she said to avoid the DNA at all costs. They only carried it for a month or two because it had a very high return rate. The Verizon guy told me it was a major upgrade. No SD card slot=deal breaker for me. Any thoughts on it?

I am not able to upgrade until July and I have an extended warranty, which is why I can get a replacement. Because I love my 4G more than my original Dinc, I would consider keeping it as long as I can. I could upgrade, but have no interest in the larger phones and I would like to keep my unlimited data as long as possible. I'm really annoyed because my phone was in stock last week and had they not dallied around so long, I would have had a new one by now.

The DNA has a larger screen than the Rezound. I never owned one so I can't speak for how great it is or isn't. I thought I wouldn't like the size of the Rezound after using an Incredible. I quickly adjusted and enjoyed. I've since retired my Rezound and have gone to the a lager screen yet. The HTC M8 seemed big at first but again... I quickly became comfortable with it and now the Rezound seems small. I know all people are different and I hope that whatever you get you can acquire an appreciation for. Change is always a transition... I hope it's a smooth one for you.

NightAngel, looks like you had the DNA for a bit and liked it. How's it holding up now?

I absolutely loved it. Apart from no SD card it was damn perfect.

Perfect screen size, which is a little bigger than the S4. S4 is 4.7 and DNA is 5

I have OneMax now and apart from it having newer software, I think I liked DNA better.

It did have some bugs. Most importantly an issue where it doesn't recognize Sim card. Which was fixed with an ota

Thanks guys! I have been speaking with an awesome Verizon tech who has gone out of his way to get me an Inc4G. He has attempted to put in an order every few days and says it's in stock, but before he submits it, it still defaults to the DNA. Ugh! They have upgraded the issue and are trying to get one through HTC because now I have memory issues and can't install some apps (non-Play ones like Amazon App Store) but have only downloaded about ten apps and can't even download a small PDF anymore. Basically I can't download anything that is not from Google Play, including documents. I had a ton of apps and never got the "insufficient storage" message (like my old Dinc frequently did) until I did a factory reset two weeks ago. Now it blinks on every few minutes, yet I have more than enough available storage. If this doesn't work, then I'll have no choice but to go with the DNA, but at least you have made me feel better about it NightAngel!

Was the lack of an SD card an issue for you? I always have tons of pictures on mine and would like many of the same pictures on the new phone, but don't know how to transfer them without an SD card. I have Astro but not sure that will help unless it backs up everything on it.

Triska, You should still be able to port the pics you want to your PC and then back to the DNA storage if that's the phone you end up with. Just like putting them on a SD card... the pictures will be written to the accessible storage on the DNA.

The thread has been resting.. it never dies. :)

As you guys might know, I run a little lawn care business to keep me in toys and brewskies. I've been up to my armpits in grass since the five inches of rain we got over the holiday weekend. Needless to say... I'm mowing.

My computer repair business is doing well. It would do better in a less affluent area. People here are willing to dump a computer that's having problems and buy a new one.

Yeah, I fix my own, so I tend to milk them for as long as I can. We just did a purge at our house though. All of the old computers went off to Best Buy to be recycled. They weren't working well, or at all, and were just taking up space.

We had a ton of rain for a while, but it has slowed down now.
