I have been following the new Android phones since about the time the Passion code name was discovered. Went to a Verizon Wireless store this weekend in Wichita, KS to add my wife's corporate discount onto our plan (Incredible timing?). Walk in seeing signage for the Droid Incredible by HTC in the entry way. Signage all over the inside of the store. The salespersons are even wearing Droid Incredible T-shirts. I thought, they might actually know something about this phone now.
Logged in (yes, even in a store with actual people you have to use a computer terminal and log in...end of real customer service???) and wait in the obligatory virtual line even though there are only four other customers in the store. Had just enough time to start fiddling with the demo Incredible (and it is a lot of fun 
) before a salesman helps us. Get the discount added onto our plan. Then I pop the inventory question. "We had thirty, but we sold out yesterday." 
I felt like bringing up a lawsuit. 
Isn't it false advertising to show off this phone all over the store but not actually have one to sell someone? Doesn't Verizon know there are some Incredibly obsessed fans of this phone in the forums? It could be dangerous for their staff to have all the advertising but no phones. 
Oh well. I guess I'll just have to have my wife order me one for my birthday.

Well, it's great to see some familiar folks here. I'm loving my Incredible. Got a whole bunch of apps from the store and my only issue now is battery life 'cause I'm on the thing all the time!
Anyone use AG Newspapers US? This is the second newspaper app I've tried and I keep having this problem: The pages are HUGE. I can't zoom out anymore--the zoom control has the minus part grayed, which means it's out as far as it can go. Tried pinching, and I get the message to tap the screen for zoom, but nothin' happens. Anyone have clues? Anyone have a good newspaper app out there? I need my NYT...and others.

I too had this problem and found a reference to it on a VZW forum. It stems from a Verizon Wireless Mobile Email account I had open from my last phone. I called 611 and after going to 2nd tier support I was able to get help and my 'Mobile Email' account was closed. As Ender11 said- a text with 'stop' will stop the messages from coming, but not the route cause of the issue. If you had an (mobile email) account open, you may want to call and have it closed.

Hey everybody, got my incredible the day it came out and am loving everything about it. HOWEVER, I am one of the few unfortunate souls who does not know how to use a computer to save his life (and sadly, I'm 19 lol). I've watched countless youtube videos but none of them seem to FULLY answer all my questions and I've yet to put all the pieces together after dozens of videos. Can anyone who has a regular windows PC, tell me in as simple of terms as they can how to use the USB chord to transfer music from my itunes to my phone? I know I have to set the thing to "mounted" where I get the options to select folders, but how do I even make my itunes music a folder so I can even make it an option to select? Thanks to anyone who helps me out, you're saving my life, literally. My ipod broke 6 months ago and I've been without music on the go forever

I'm fairly savvy, but I had trouble figuring out how to go to the chat list. Worked the first time, later I couldn't figure it out...(don't tell anyone).
So anyway:
Your iTunes music is already in a folder called iTunes. It's in My Documents > My Music.
You can copy the iTunes folder to the Incredible's SD card storage and you'll have your songs.
BUT! If you want to have an iTunes-like application that is FREE, go to http://www.doubletwist.com and download Doubletwist.
Set Doubletwist to sync your music (but not your pictures! More about that later). Doubletwist looks on your PC, finds your iTunes, and will also look for and sync playlists if you want it to.
I tried to get DT to sync SOME of my pictures but it synced ALL OF THEM. Apparently there's no way around this--configuring it to just sync a certain folder, etc. doesn't work. So don't use it for pictures, just your iTunes music.
For this alone, though, it's very good. And it has a user interface that looks quite a bit like iTunes, so that makes it easy.

I think I read somewhere that these ports are also for additional heat venting. I could be mistaken. If not, that's an interesting idea. I'm sure there are some rubber bits that could be fabricated to fit.
