Droid X Care Packages!?

Anyways this evening, while checking the mail I noticed a somewhat large package jutting out from the box; looks like the mailman had one hell of a time cramming it in. After I managed to pull the sucker out, my eye IMMEDIATELY caught the massive Droid X Eye we've all come to know and love.

I had no idea what it meant, or what was inside, but I immediately raced inside my house and like a kid on Christmas morning ravaged the hell out of the package to see what treasures inside awaited me!

I'm really not sure why I received this as I don't recall signing up for any type of promo, besides the twitter account tied to the scavenger hunt.

Keep checking those mailboxes X owners!!!

Update: There is talk that those who renewed or began a new contract with their Droid X purchase will be receiving these. Supposedly they have only started shipping out to Northeast customers.
 
Maybe it has to do with the high demand of the phone. Perhaps Verizon is actually going out of their way for once and trying to make up for potentially long deliveries. If this is the case, I might end up receiving one of these myself. :) Goodie goodie. :D

EDIT: Jabba, what scavenger hunt are you referring to?
 
I know it's only been one day, but I can't stop checking both of my e-mails. My dad is the account holder so I'm even checking his. :x
 
I got one yesterday afternoon. I followed the twitter scavenger hunt, and bought my DX within an hour of the store opening on launch day. I never got any advance notification that this was coming.

Very, very cool.
 
That's cool that Verizon does this. I got the same sort of thing shortly after buying my Droid 1 last fall on launch day.

Not gonna wear a T-shirt with my phone name on it. How goofy can you get. It's a PHONE! Yippee.

Could use the 25% coupon off though ;)

I wouldn't wear the shirt either... but I'm still interested to see how people are getting these packages.
 
I got one too...and did not purchase from bestbuy.
Sticker I can do without but the shirt is pretty cool - I'll wear it to work where we have conference rooms named after Apple executives and everyone is an iPhone fan.
 
I pre ordered mine at Best buy and was outside the door before it opened on launch day. I really hope I get one of these packages.

PS. Anyone that doesn't want their t shirt or stickers I'll take them off your hands.
 
I called vzw customer service. She told me only people from northeast are receiving them. Also you had to renew contract or new contract. Where are you guys located thats receiving these?
