Droid X has 4G capabilities? WTF!

Those "screenshots" are all photoshopped. And this is not the first time the have mixed and matched incorrectly. That is an editor that shouldn't be working on a publication involving technology.

Maybe vzw put the lte chip in and kept it hush hush?
and screw sense and blur, I've got the lg launcher and im keeping it

Photoshop mistake by BB Marketing. Probably a screen shot from EVO or something else. The Verizon LTE/4G Network will require a Sim card. There is no Sim card in the DX.

It has the same radio as the Droid 1 has. It does not support LTE band frequencies. Would have been nice if it had a QSC8600 but I'm not sure it would interface to the TI OMAP processor.

If you type in Steve Jobs death in the stock messaging app
then add me on twitter, the sexy chic in my avatar gives you 4G

What is known is that the DX will be the oldest '4G capable' phone so far. Everything before it is a lost cause.

if you look on the TI website you can find the omap processor that the droid x has. if you click on the diagram it shows it is 4g/3g compatible with the radio installed. anybody see the same thing?

I think everyone should stay with 3G. Below is what happens with 4G:

"From a medical standpoint, at 4G's, you will start to lose color vision, which is why it is called "graying out"; 4.5 G's and you may lose vision all together. Higher G's and your lungs start to collapse, your esophagus stretches, your stomach drops and blood pools significantly in your legs."

Is today revive-an-old-and-dead-thread-day?

And when it comes to 4g, "I don't care." Even if it makes me an island and then transforms into a jet to fly me there...

My area won't have decent 4g coverage until my next upgrade anyway...

BB and VZ employees are telling customers that the X will be 4G LTE capable with a soon to be released OTA update. Now I know that alot of people are saying that the X doesn't have the hardware and we can't believe what a BB or VZ rep says so.... Im just the messager and like on 300 "NO ONE THREATENS A MESSAGER"! :p
