Droid X has 4G capabilities? WTF!

Again query to the VZ person/people or anyone that owns one.

Do the new 4G smartcards (whatever they are called nowdays) for the laptops, have the required sim cad for the LTE network.

I mean based on what people are saying, they would never work without one. Just curious.

Your wrong, our X's will get 4g. In the gingerbread update there will be code that transforms the space just above the sd card into a sim card slot, so far the only bug from this code is that the X also grows legs and walks off lol

Hell I'm just going to skip over 4G all together and hook my phone up to 5G. All I have to do is find the app that allows me to do so......

Nice, but does it walk faster than the Iphone 5, that is the real question.

I drove down to Baltimore to see if my x would run on 4g and now im writing this on my eris cause verizons big 4g hand came out of the clouds and took my x right from my hands.

I was stuck in the 5GB 3G plan, but two people I know with unlimited 3G, who wanted to upgrade their devices were not offered unlimited 4G plans. I upgraded mine since 4G was $10 cheaper for me.
 
I kinda believe the x is 4g phone. No one is going to tell you that bec 4g was not even out at the time and of coarse verizon wont tell you bec " oh look at this nice 4g phone for sale" When I use motorola flash utility and I'm sure is the same if anyone use's it as well via bricking there phone, It even tells you that the phone is 4g. But that is what motorola says. so is it really 4g. 50/50

It's not a 4G device...it doesn't have the hardware for it.
 
Well if someone can produce evidence of a sim card slot we might be inclined to believe its 4G.

But i'm not sure if the next software update installs the slot OTA. i think u have to go into the store for that...:D:D:D

to settle this once and for all... The people that were grandfathered in to the Unlimited 3G mobile broadband plan (for $59.99) WILL NOT be grandfathered in to that plan on LTE. I repeat WILL NOT. whomever heard/said this was mistaken. Anyone moving to a 4G device will HAVE to choose between the $50/5GB or $80/10GB. There is no way to provision unlimited data in verizon's system for 4G mobile broadband.

anyone wanting to argue, i would be willing to bet my job on it. i just dont want people here getting the wrong information, and being upset when they either come to find out they were either given misinformation, or misunderstood the information they were given.

you shoulda waited. the OTA 2.3.340 created a sim card slot upon install.

if you type ##7764186, press send, then change every text box to read "DX4G" you will be running on the LTE network.

Im assuming all the 4g phone require you to pay for 4g and not an option to keep the3g without the 4g connection?
