Droid X Specs Released

that thing is bigger than the EVO  and the EVO is fricken huge.... I think that Moto went a little overboard with the size of the X

My thoughts exactly. Then slap a case on it and its even bigger. This phone is cool, but I will never buy a Moto phone again and it doesnt have the ZOMG featrures im looking for in my next phone (dual core, front facing camera ect.). The bigger battery is nice, then again it has a bigger display to power.

My sentiments exactly... and the $20 for mobile hotspot really sucks (means froyo when comes we are paying for it :( )

Second quarter ends in June. Hello Froyo (for incredible)

So did they say second quarter or second half of the year? Cause.. second half of the year definitely does not end in June.

I'm wondering why this is in the Inc forum too. I'm moreso in the boat where if I can upgrade at no cost or even a gain, I'm gonna do it. Otherwise I see no real reason to put a hole in the wallet for an upgrade from the Incredible unless you really really REALLY just want a bigger screen.

Heh. I could totally return my phone by friday and get this!

But yeah, the size really puts me off.

Anyone have actual dimensions, and not just screen size?

As soon as your return you Incredible and Get the Droid X, something better will be right around the corner. Plus, it is too big IMO.

How can someone who got the Inc around launch be looking to jump ship now?

You are going to waste money and buy a new phone already? How stupid is that? Every two/three months when the next best thing is released you just fork over hundreds of dollars?

And the specs here are so similar to the Inc whats the big deal?

If you're not happy with the phone and you're outside of your 30 days, might as well sell it while the re-sale value is high.

If you have the money or upgrade, why not? I used my mother's upgrade to get the Incredible because I lost my other phone. I will be getting this one with my upgrade. I would've paid $600 to get this phone anyways. If you have the money, why not?

I'm going to get the refurbished phone from Verizon since my Incredible's speaker blew out on me and sell it on Ebay. I will get at least a couple hundred.

I've seen the size listed as 2.6" x 5.0" which is the same width as the EVO, but slightly longer. Depth is something like .40" and then gets thicker at the camera. I'm trying to find where I saw it today.

So slightly longer than the EVO, but generally thinner.

I went to Sprint today and played with the EVO. It didn't seem too large at all. In fact, I was a little surprised how small it was compared to what I thought it was going to be after seeing pictures on the net about it.

EDIT - Here are some specs including size: Size: 65.5 x 127.5 x 9.9 mm, Weight: 155 grams

Size = 2.587" x 5.02" x .39" and weight = 5.47 ounces

If those specs are correct, the weight is actually less than the EVO. The thickness is also at the widest point, and about 80% of the back is thinner.

Is there an app that allows you to create topics without coming to the site? Because I swear that this is the 1000000000th topic about the same thing.

You serious? Even if you just upgraded (more than 30 days ago) to the INC?

No you have already upgraded so your not eligible. For those who have not upgraded and have an upgrade date sometime in 2010 you will be eligible.

that wont happen ;)

I'm sorry, am I the only one here that waited until May for my Eris update? It's Verizon. It very well MAY happen.

Also. If you guys get in the habit of buying every new Android phone, you will be ver poor, very soon. These puppies are popping out FAST, we can expect one every month. Enlist some financial prudence and wait a year until you upgrade/buy the latest. I promise it will be worth it. And your children will thank you when you can put them through college. :-)

DInc lover.

Is this true because Verizon says your eligible if your Contract ends in 2010 not when your upgrade is. I got my dad all excited about the Droid X and when we called Verizon today they said we wouldn't be eligible because are contact is not up until 2011, even though are upgrade date is Nov. 2010. Bummer we will have to wait until November.
