Hello Ken I am having basically the same problem spaz1418 is having. a lot of things just force quite the app "phone" being one example with a "Unfortunately, the process andriod. process.acore has stopped working". I also have a black background and cannot change it and the status bar is not even there. the locker screen background is not black it has the little leaf background . I wiped Dalvik and cache and even tried cfreeman90 idea on fix permission. I however did not wipe for data. Should I try that? spaz said he did and it did nothing so i do not want to waste time on that. By the way ken I love the default launcher did you make it?

Strange. Personally I would say a data wipe would be highly recommended. The launcher is just the default miui launcher.

Give me a little time as I am learning as I go and I hope to have some improvement and answers soon.

The acore thing is actually bug in miui 2.8.10. I'll try a different version and see if that makes a difference

No worries take your time! Its pretty good for a first release(me saying these even with the errors i am having) I will be going back to CM9 intill these problems are sorted out unless wiping data has a very strong possibility of fixing these problems( I do really like this Rom!) By the way app icons look much better than i thought on this phones low display. Ken you have truly done some magic now Amazon Kindle App now works!! No more force close when trying to open the book (Could be the ROM or the App updated in the background)

It does for me. You could go into storage under settings and select mount as the default option and try re attaching it. I'm making a list of all these bugs
 
Tried that and still doesn't work. I don't know if fix permission will fix that. Also noticed Bluetooth only works when it feels like it. Oh and wiping data fixed the Rom. Feels like a slimmed down version of CM9. Always thought there were a few things in that ROM that were just to much for the Elite(The 3d recent app thing when you hold the home button down)

Ken, did you see the patch for the Galaxy which I posted to the CM9 thread? That fixes MMS on a generic CM9/10 rom for Virgin. Not sure if it would work with Miui though? Without a patch, you get an sms from 99999999999 with gibberish in it, or something like that.

Small update:

Fixed the reboot when changing keyboard settings

Keyboard no longer cut off on the bottom

For some reason the search button doesn't work? Holding button down gives a "application not installed on your phone" toast. It probably has to do with gapps and Im probably a dumbass lol

Phone key lights seem to be working normally

File Manager no longer working (not a big deal, i'm pretty sure its just the apk and i can replace it with another)

Confirmed... I'm a dumbass

Is it just file manager or all file manager's in general?

You probably know but just make sure ken,
In stock browser when I press menu key in browser
It shows bookmarks listed twice....

Did you get the search button working? I haven't flashed it yet but it looks like everything is there for it to work correctly.

Yeah. It was just because search wasn't installed. The rom does work but its a bit quirky

@possums its just the miui file manager

@spaz I'm not trying to break things lol just fixing one thing causes issues for others but not to worry I'll get it

I'm also not using a different version of miui
