Previous post with 2.1 found bugs...

My Eris is no longer doing the things in the link. This what I did to fix it...
All of the issues in the previous post are *gone* -- even the color and volume issues. There was a bit of lag while downloading Market stuff... but even that's gone. It's as nice as Caddyman described his 2.1 install was... and that's waaaaay better than 1.5 (I do miss the '%' awake time, but that's the only thing).
The bug that drove me to try a reinstall, was the blank 'HTC' screen and the loading pinwheel when exiting any app to the home screen. The fix worked, can't say if it was the reset before reinstalling, the act of reinstalling, the PB00IMG zip (perhaps there are slightly diff versions floating around?), or holding my tongue just right while pressing the trackball. If you're having similar problems, I'd try again. 2.1 is slick.

My Eris is no longer doing the things in the link. This what I did to fix it...
- Factory data reset (had all important info backed up)
- *228 option 1 to program
- Turned off Eris, removed SD card and copied 2.1 .zip from Caddyman's link onto it, reinstalled card
- Vol down/power button, trackball to input, rebooted phone, follow all directions to setup 2.1
- Logged back into Google and got contacts back
- *228, option 2
- Reinstalled all Market programs
- Bam... done.
