Eris to v2.x, when?

I think selecting bootloader worked for a few others. I may have done it myself. Don't remember.

I just found it -- run the "People" app, then press "Menu", then "View", and uncheck "show auto Gmail contacts".

I too have the relogin problem at boot. It's extremely annoying. Hopefully someone can find a fix or a way around it
 
Conspiracy Theory Time: What if VZW purposely leaked the 2.1 build early to see what kind of holes people would find and then patch them? We all know the eris, for whatever reason, is locked down tighter than a dolphin's butthole where root is concerned. Why stop now?

I'm sure it will be fixed by the time OTA rolls. And we will still get OTA...right? Right? RIGHT?! :confused:
 
Seeing the talk about root flare up again, I wouldn't worry about whether or not 2.1 will come to us OTA or not. With root, we use custom ROMs and no longer depend on VZW for updates.

If you upgraded to 2.1 using this thing, you will be able to perform root on your phone.

Mine is finished and I have 2.1. If you haven't done it already, then go ahead and choose bootloader. That's what I had to do.

So what now? What do I need to download to get the navigation up and running? Anyone?

yeap. just says stuff about image not found blah.

but i'm going to stop messing around with it, nothing bad has happened and i dont want it to. plus im freakin tired. goodluck everyone! (and figure it all out, so i have some good news when i wake up! :p )

Got bored with Sense and I'm running Home again. Really fast though.

Where's acidbath been? Has he not heard the good news?

Nav is already in there. Took me a min to really figure out how to use it though. It should be under navigation.

I dont use the clock with weather since it kinda annoys me when its 3:40 and I wake my phone to check the time and my clock lags behind to show 1:23 and takes a brief 3 secs to adjust to 3:40. So now I dont use a clock app at all, I'm fine with the small clock on the top notification bar and now with 2.1 theres even one if you have unlock pattern enabled! :)
 
My home button was taking it to the screen with the 6 buttons like nav...but i turned it off. i want it to go to my middle home screen with the clock when i click it.
 
As a Droid owner (and previous Eris owner), I am happy for you guys. I hope everything works as planned. Congrats to all who got this working!

I wasn't going to add this, but a few mean spirited people made me want to. To the person/people who said Droid owners would be envious, we have been running 2.1 for weeks (w/live wallpapers)...Just sayin....

I think that only happens when you're already at the home screen or hit home twice, which would in turn do the same thing.

He probably hasn't. He swore off XDA and here after a holiday in Paris with his fiance. Said the community was too negative and he was done. Haven't seen him around these parts since.
