Eris to v2.x, when?

I asked the same question about their quarter, since the U.S. Government first quarter is October to December 31.
HTC Rep replied, " I apologize for the little information that we have, but unfortunately we do not have the exact date this will be sent Over-the Air to your device. The only thing we can say is that it will be at the end of the First quarter, which could be until the end of April, this date is not up to us and we will know the date when you receive your update."
So basically, they have no idea.

Well, I guess it's good to know that we're not alone on this issue. Not only do we NOT know when we are getting the update, but neither do they. Glad to have some clarification on that.

No!! We must keep the hope of a Q1 update alive in our hearts...even if Q1 has been changed by a month to accommodate an anticipated update time line.
Memo to Verizon CSR's:
Dear Employees,
Due to delays in the promise of a Q1 update, we will be changing the end of Q1 from the end of March to...whenever you want. In fact, you simply make up the date when asked. All that we ask is that you maintain Q1 in any given date. For instance, you may say, "We are still expecting the Eris 2.1 update by the end of Q1, which may be during the month of May." Note: We will NOT be changing our fiscal definition of Q1 to coincide with the update Q1, though this would be wonderful for our numbers.

My sentiments, exactly!
What I have learned is that HTC customer service reps know no more than Verizon customer service reps, who know even less than Dell Technical support reps! And they don't know anything!
I'll check back in a few hours,.......ever so patiently!

Wish there was more info. If there is a problem with update let us know, if they're waiting on the Droid to get the update first then just say so. Something. Why does the Eris feel like the Red-Headed Step Child for VZW. BTW I think the Eris is a great phone, played with a friends Moto Droid over the weekend and I think the Eris is much better.
Maybe next Thursday, April Fools Day!
Oh god I hope its before then! Can you imagine how many "I got the OTA" hoax threads are gonna be made that day if its not?

Just mouse-over the thread title to see it that's so, then don't bother clicking the thread at all.
Heck, I do that with many threads here as it is, especially those started by that dork "Frisco."

Hopefully they will keep their Q1 promise. Otherwise Wayne Brady's gonna have to choke a bitch. And it would be a double kick in the teeth if the OTA came out Q2 and those who installed the leaked update couldn't update. Just try that on for size and see how many people on this forum will be electronically vomiting on their Erii.

Cynicism is so baller. Any time.Nobody listens if you're seriously serious all the time.
So in all seriousness (o.o) I'd rather laugh at this ridiculous spiral story HTC has been feeding us and this priceless snafu involving the leak, root, rollback, and the fact that everyone metaphorically has to pee in the same way that everyone wants this update. They're all dancing in place and shuffling around in anticipation/impatience.
So glad I got this phone, lmao.
