Sorry for not providing the link, but I'm guessing you'll discover it if you look at the other two threads.

Do we have this with the leaked version? Maybe I missed it since I don't use the stock keyboard?
 
if its anywhere near similiar then they shouldnt bother. Theres major bugs that still need fixed. Like using the phone as a phone
 
Once the OTA is pushed out, any crippling bugs I may experience will have to be addressed by Verizon. If your phone was upgraded via leak, and you have issues, Verizon will probably tell you to go scratch, since it wasn't official. That's my main reason for waiting.

They sent e-mails to my address like this regarding the Droid update. I haven't gotten one yet for the Eris on our account though. I think it is a "hey be on the lookout for this" type of thing they send to any account holder with the device active.

I'm certain that anybody getting the OTA will jump into the Eris forums and post about it right away... probably even before it's installed, like when they first see the notification prompt. ;)
 
The Eris is supposed to get 2.1 starting today

The site includes a screenshot of a page on Verizon's website, so I'd say it's pretty credible. Also if you don't get a notification today, be patient. Keep in mind how long it took to get to all droids, even once those updates started.

If I get a notification, I'll let you know.
 
I've been to a couple of other forums at phonenews.com and there's a few people claiming they got the update and a few others who claim they were told it was coming out today while they were calling tech support about software issues. They said they were told to wait for the update today to see if it fixed their issue.

How credible these claims are, well that's another story.
 
Just got off the phone with CS (not tech support) and they said they haven't heard of it. I'm still hopeful though :)

I talked to a tech on the phone yesterday and they said it should happen in the next 24 - 48 hours in the central NY area. They're doing the OTA region by region again. Just wondering. Has anyone here received the OTA yet? I've seen a few posts from AZ on other sites but that's about it.
 
There was some speculation on if people running the 2.1 leak would recieve the OTA, but i have conformation that you will. But if by some horrible sequence of events, you DO NOT recieve it http://support.vzw.com/ information/ droid_eris_upgrade.html it will be posted for manual download here, it
