Those things had 5ws of power get a signal when there was only 2 towers in the state. Lucky now adays if ya get 1/2 watt of power.
$1 a minute, we used to call each other to cost them a buck

Im currently 24; damn near mid 20s! Im really surprised at the ages of a lot of Eris users! I know a few people round my age with them but thats it. Glad to see we got people in all age groups using this device. What I want to know is, if this phone requires a $30 data plan, how are you 14/15/16 year olds able to afford your phones?? Please don't say mom and dad! lol

And to all you old folks, you impress me. Yes yes, you grew up with computers but all I'm saying is that I know people in their 60s that have no clue that the person they're calling cant hear them when they're leaving a voicemail; they think its an answering machine despite many MANY explanations. haha! Good stuff guys!
