Am I not being clear to these guys mods? For the 15th time ...
It's clear that you're wanting to clarify battery life under your circumstances and your experiences with your phone.
Depending on how people use things, the battery can last longer or less so.
People are wanting to use more of the features that you don't (due to circumstance and preference such as 3G always on) and get the battery life you do.
Rather than discuss the known tech limitations to that and the hows/whys, others are asking: when will they improve the tech governing that?
And in context of this thread, the questions are:
Will this to-be-released phone improve in this regard?
Have the reviewers answered those questions?
Note: I've followed the battery saving tips on my Evo and am better off. I've followed none of them on our Shift and the Shift is blowing my Evo battery away on days the phones are both used the same (high or low). On that one, we don't even bother with the toggles, just leave 4G and BT off (ok, I guess those are tips, but look at the big picture).
Everyone's mileage varies.
No need to go into your side a 16th time, I think anything further besides the above questions is talking at cross-purposes until the phone is in our hands.
Let's move on.
