EVO availability for sprint employees and advantage club

Here I am to clear up the confusion.... The change from $20 to $30 WAS/IS Mandatory and took effect on the beginning of your new cycle in October. Again this is for Iconic Devices, such as Palm Pre, Hero, Moment, Pixi, BB. Devices such as Lotus, Reclaim, Exclaim do not require the change. If your new cycle starts on Nov1, then that is when you will see the plan change.
Mobile Hotspot for SWAC MEMBERS is $29.99, for EWD is $19.99.
Stock= Good, like I said they get about 5000 a week, so the orders that are placed will be fulfilled within 14 days.
Purchasing in stores= CAN ONLY PURCHASE AT HEADQUARTERS STORES, (meaning stores that are built into company property, that customers cannot access, these stores are for employees only and do not help customers.)
Changing back to a dumb phone= Yes if you upgrade to the $30 plan by choice and feel the Any mobile anytime is not worth it, you can downgrade back to your $20 plan as long as it is not an Iconic Device. These Iconic devices have no choice.
 
Just got my shipment confirmation, after 5 longs months of waiting my Evo left Kentucky and will be home on Thursday :D
 
i got to the final page where i was told a confirmation email would be sent to my sponsor and a copy to myself. Neither of us have recieved the email. Anyone else have this problem? Was there a long delay before it appeared?

hey eric i already placed an order for the epic 4g through my sponsor, but i have a question for you. are you ordering the phone yourself online through a personal computer, because the last time i asked my sponsor if there was a way to order the phone myself online without bothering her, and she said that the phone could only be ordered through a sprint store computer and by an employee. how were u able to order urs online instead of your sponsor?

He sent me an swac invitation email from the sprint computer with a link to the swac website. Maybe that was the wrong way of doing it and thats why its not working. Anyone able to verify this?
 
I used the link in the email my sponsor sent me to the SWAC site and I placed my order. It was only 30 minutes or so before I received the confirmation email. To be safe I notified my sponsor I had ordered it and she then approved it. About an hour and a half later I received my tracking info.
 
order was placed yesterday around 7am, and my EVO has already made it from Kentucky to Minnesota and is "Out For Delivery" and will be here today! :)
 
Not to be contradictory Sprint Helper -- but retail customers can use both the Leawood and campus store just fine and both will sell to SWAC customers. Thats how me and a couple hundred other SWAC customers bought our phones yesterday.

At both stores -- your sponsor does not need to be present to buy your phones
 
I have no problem being corrected. the headquarter stores DO assist customers then. For ordering yourself as a SWAC Member- Your sponsor can send you a link and you fill out the order yourself. (Given your sponsor knows how to do this)

the htc tp2 does not require you to move to a premium data plan :)
and if you do not want to spend the extra 10-20$ per month to move to android, you can dual boot android 2.2 and wm :)

I think this forum has more info, than any Sprint CSR wud know. Good to know TP2 is not part of premium plan. I cud keep it as backup when I get bored with EVO.

I've been following these posts for over a month. I saw the ordering delay on the SWAC site but assumed this meant a week or so instead of a few days to deliver. I went ahead and put in my purchase request on the SWAC site.

Side Note since Im finally posting: If I was eligible for my swac upgrade in July and have waited this long; 1) shouldn't i get an increased discount like standard Sprint accounts when upgrading after 18 months instead of 12 months or; 2) will i be eligible for my next upgrade in July again or will it only be available to me a year after I finally get this upgrade.

NO reply yet any one have any thoughts about upgrade times. I know I wont get an increased upgrade discount but when will i be eligible for an upgrade again?

This is what I wanted to know...

Now, it is interesting that they will sell directly to SWAC customers from these stores. The method I am used to (sponsor sends you an email ink, you order, and then sponsor approves order) seems more in line with the sponsor being ultimately responsible for the account.

I do not know for sure, but if I were to guess, I would say you won't get any less upgrade time for waiting this long. I would also guess it is a year after last upgrade.

Someone will correct me if I am wrong.

Did any of you receive the email after submitting the request? Not an email with tracking info, but at least some kind of acknowledgement or something.

Your sponsor will recieve the email notifications and hopefully they forward them to you. They include confirmation # and shipping information

FYI - my sponsor sent me the order confirmation. However, the Order ID was not in a format that could be tracked using sprint.com/myorder. Customer service was able to give me the actual order number.

I cannot track it yet as it's still listed as processing. I ordered online as soon as they became available (midnight) and my sponsor submitted it around 8:00 the next day. Here's what appears when I check the status:

Status:Your order is being processed. If you have any questions, please contact a representative at your original point of purchase.

Yes I received the email here is the body of the email

"Thank you for your Sprint Wireless Advantage Club order request.

Your order request details have been submitted to your Sprint Employee Sponsor ("the Sprint Employee").

Your order has not been officially submitted and your device availability or pricing is not confirmed until the Sprint Employee approves your order and submits it on the Advantage Club site which is only accessible to the Sprint Employee.

To expedite your Advantage Club order, we recommend you confirm with the Sprint Employee that your Advantage Club order request was received. Note: device availability and pricing is subject to change at any time so you employee sponsor is encouraged to approve and submit your order as quickly as possible."

If your status still says processing then it hasnt shipped out yet. Next email your sponsor will get will be the shipping information via UPS. That confirms UPS picked up your package and its on its way home to its new owner.

In a little bit, your sponsor should get yet another from UPS via Sprint with a UPS tracking number. Then you'll know it has shipped.
