Root Evo w/ CM7.0.3.1 is on 3G rather than Wifi when I wake it

I really like CM7 but my one complaint (and I'm assuming this is a bad thing) is that every time I wake my phone, the 3G icon shows even though I'm at home, 2 feet from my router.

I assume 3G is rougher on my battery so if I can fix this, I'd like to. This was happening with both the Kernal the ROM came with and with Tiamat 4.0.5 which is what I'm on now.

do you have the wifi turned on? does your phone see the router? try and unplug the router and wait 30 secs and plug it back in.

My wifi is fine and the phone picks it up shortly after I wake it but it starts on 3G first.

Finally found the wifi sleep settings and you are spot on - it was set to sleep when the screen turns off. It's set to never now, thanks!!
