Explain your username!

My AIM username was getting really old and I needed a replacement. Something cooler. I use this name for Youtube. Please do NOT hate on me. If you do not like my videos, I would recommend watching something else.

First three characters are my initials.

OS = Operating Systems, I'm a multi-platform software engineer.

Since often times that username is taken, I ad the dot & number 1 for a balanced esthetic.

Cheers... :)

This is one of the most interesting threads in the Lounge.

There are a few members I'm waiting for, I admit. :D

Got mine from playing the FPS game Open Arena. My original username was ... but after awhile i got bored with it and wanted to change it. Also wanted the new name to not change completely where people wouldn't know me. So i changed it to dots and its stuck ever since. :)

I was amazed when i registered here that this simple username wasn't registered. lol

I was playing Metal Gear Solid 4 when I had sign up to PSN and choose a username. Sorrow Doll is a weapon that allows you to manipulate dead bodies like marionetts ( well almost) but it's epic!! Since then I've been using it everywhere, because it's difficult to remember so many usernames

Thread resurrection time!!

Nightangel trilogy by Brent Weeks is at the very least in my top 3 all time books/series

Mine is pretty ironic, B2L is short for Born2Lose. But I'm actually extremely lucky and end up winning the majority of the time.

It may sound pretty cocky. Although, I was 12 when I came up with it and have been using it ever since.

I play league darts and one night I walk into the bar and my friend yells out...SCOOBY! The nickname stuck and I added the 15 which was my basketball jersey number in HS.

acarya is a word in Sanskrit (think yoga, India, sacred texts, etc) meaning "teacher;" I cannot dream of doing anything but teaching.

Crap, this one is going to be hard to explain.

Actually, no. It's easy to explain.

I was sitting in English class during 6th grade, and thought to myself: "I need a username."

So I made it up.

That is all.

Actually, I have thought of changing it to "Ori," from Stargate. Sounds so much cooler, but I can't imagine changing now.

Mine has an obvious James Bond reference. I had always loved the James Bond movies. The "shark" is from several things that kinda came together. My car, Tiburon, is Spanish for shark. My middle name in Bosnian is shark.

Ha ha! Well, mine is from when I used to climb, a lot, like 35-40 hours a week. I used to set routes at a climbing gym and every so often, we would go on a streak of naming them like we do outdoors. (There are some really great route names out there.) One route that I set traversed the underside of a feature that resembles a nose. It had huge jugs and nice swinging movements. It was fun, something maybe an orangutan or chimp might like to play on. So it was called chimp happy hour.

On another occasion, I was setting a route and one of the regulars called up to me on the wall and asked me if it was going to be a regular route or a chimphappyhour route. From that point on, chimphappyhour became a route setting alter-ego. If people saw my regular initials on the route, they knew it was ok. If they saw CHH on it, they knew something was up. :p
