Root Fail or win ?

MOAR ROMS!!!!! Welcome to the club man... Ive kept track of the # (not the specific roms unfortunately) and Im up to 44... Keep on truckin and youll eventually find rom perfection, or maybe you wont and itll just get worse and worse LMAO!!

No seriously -- I go on kicks where I start flashing things but I have pretty definitely settled on MikG. I recently tried to use CM7 again. Everyone talks about how great it is and I really tried to like it...I really want to like it. But it just seemed like too much of a hassle to get everything perfect (a few things still weren't quite perfect), seemed a bit sluggish to me, and just wasn't quite as aesthetically pleasing to me. In other words, too much work for no gain (in fact, it just introduced things that annoyed me).

Keep flashing and you'll eventually settle on something I'm sure. But don't be surprised if a few months from now you get on another kick to flash a bunch of new ROMs. I seem to get that itch every couple of months and with the ICS source code recently released, I'm sure that I'll be flashing some ICS ROMs in the not too distant future. :)
 
That Boot Manager app can kinda help slow you down. You see, it works like this. You load up 5 roms on your phone, then you can bounce back and forth between all of them, checking them out and setting them up. Every once in a while you mess something up or find something that isn't working for you, so you have to figure that out, ask questions and stuff. THEN............

You can load up some more, here and there, in slots you clear out after you figure out you have got all the good out of that rom and see something else you want to flash....

Somebody please help me!!!!! :eek:

Yeah, I don't know Dustwyn. My wife is complaining that I never put my phone down.;) If I'm not flashing something I'm bouncing around between the other Rom's on the phone.

I never thought I'd go back to Sense 1.0, but here I am trying to flash Swagged, and I'm in Tommies for a couple days. (very nice stuff he has there)

Can't wait to run some ICS CM7 and also some Sense with ICS.
 
I had one of the swags on there, bounced back and took a look at it, I think it was pre security update, it still had htc logging on it.

I think that was what was removed by the ota and that the devs duplicated, wasn't it?

i need to check and see if there is a version with that update...

Then again, I get confused easily, might have been completely different rom... :o

But see, I meant it helps slow down your FLASHING... You get 5 on there, you mess with them for a while and you might even go 3 or 4 days before you flash anything cause you already got a bunch to play with!
 
well it is a fail for me. i have two phones now that i rooted and get to flash things. it is a double fix for me. funny thing just happend. i keep my phones on my night stand right next to my bed, and the other day i woke up with me cuddling both phones:eek: rather then my gf:eek: kind of funny but sad:o good thing she did not wake up to see that. i guess that is a win for me:D
 
I do constantly check my phone at night. I love my evo. I knew when it came out it was going to be a epic phone but really I had no idea.
