Favorite App so far.... Developers please see link to Announcements above.

I use ES file explorer to manage my local files, connect to shares on the servers at work and in my win7 / Linux machines at home.

If you're rooted you can access and manipulate the files in the root directory. I use it to transfer files to and from my shared drives and also to stream video from my media server.

UK only, TV Catch up. (google "TV Catchup [dot] com" all one word without the spaces, I cant post links as this is my first post)

Despite the name, this is not a catch up TV service. It lets you watch TV on your phone (via wifi or via the phone network) as it's being broadcast. It is for the UK only, & it has the free-to-air channels that are available on Freeview.

They have an android app that is in Beta, but I have had no problems on my HTC One V.

You can also watch it on the internet on your pc, & iphone & ipad.

To get the android app you need to go to their forums (no need to sign up for forum) & there is a link at the bottom of the page for the app.

To actually use the app I think you need to register with them.

United Kingdom only. This is all legal & above board. No more messing around with BBC iPlayer or the ITV player that never seems to work, or waiting for Ch4 programs to finish before you can wacth them.

It's ad driven & free.

Good day!

I am into gaming, entertainment and social networking so apps like facebook, twitter, talking tom, street fighter vs. tekken, and other music and video apps well be fine:)

This may sound stupid, but Fivefly's Shopping List. Damn cool and the wiff and I no longer have to discuss the damn list every week. Just add a bunch of stuff and synch and the list shows up on both phones and both tablets.

--Wag--

I would have to say that locale is my favorite app so far. I had some trouble with it being inconsistent last week, but now it seems to be running smoothly. I'm saving battery power by having it turn off my WiFi settings while I'm at work, during work hours.

The second best would have to be Bonsai Blast, which is a more complicated and challenging game than I expected.
i have to downlaod applivation. but its downlaod directly to phone memory. i have to download direct to sd card.....so what can i do for that ?

Stupid zombies is best game and beware, ammo is limited so you will have to get crafty and use the straight bullets, grenades, split- and buckshots in the most effective way possible to survive the 720 levels.

I thought I'd share some of my favorite self-help Android apps. These are the ones I actually use regularly.

Content Intake / Note-taking

  • Audio Speed Changer - (link) - Lets me listen to audio programs faster or slower. - Great audio program that allows you to speed up or slow down your audio tracks from 25% - %400 (like VLC). Easily loads tracks by folder w/o a playlist, you can set start and end markers, etc.

  • Aldiko Book Reader - (link) - My ebook reader of choice.

  • CamScanner -Phone PDF Creator - (link) - Awesome app that allows me to take photos of articles or things I see while I'm out and creates a PDF right then and there of the snapshots.

  • Diaro - diary writing - (link) - My preferred journaling app.

  • Easy Voice Recorder Pro - (link) - Best voice recorder I've found that's quick to launch and use. Voice memos, recording meetings, etc.

Health and Fitness

  • A HIIT Interval Timer - (link) - The best programmable workout timer I've found. I love this app. It also vibrates your phone so if you're listening to loud music, you feel it.

  • Instant Heart Rate - (link) - Uses your camera and LED flash to get your pulse. Works great!

  • 100 Push-ups - (link) - Straight forward pushup workout program to get to 100 consecutive pushups.

  • CC Tracker - (link) - An app made for logging your Convict Conditioning workouts.

  • Sensor music player - (link) - I love this music player when I'm working out. It uses your phones sensors to skip the track and pause the player (via shake, waving your hand over the phone, etc.)

Nutrition

  • Fooducate - Healthy Food Diet - (link) - Scan the barcode on any food item and get nutrition notes on what you're eating and drinking. Love it.

  • Dirty Dozen - (link) - Quick access to the fruits/veggies with the most pesticides and the least pesticides.

Productivity

  • Astrid Task/To-do List - (link) - My preferred "To Do" list. Syncs with my calendar, great reminders.

  • StayOnTask - (link) - This app allows you to set a time interval where it checks on you to see if you're staying on task.

  • Business Calendar - (link) - Just the best calendar around for a variety of reasons. It's been worth every penny to me.

  • Gentle Alarm - (link) - I love the pre-alarm (doesn't wake you up if you're in deep sleep). The regular alarm slowly gets louder and louder. You can set a safety alarm that's super loud. You can make it say stuff to you. All sorts of great stuff.

Fashion
  • How to Tie a Tie - (link) - How to tie like every tie knot there is.

Sex
  • Sex Positions- (link) - Great app with user submitted votes. Add variety, have fun, have a great conversation.

  • Sex Positions #2- (link) - Same as above but more.

Spirituality

  • Buddhist Meditation Trainer - (link) - Gives you an idea to meditate on for a few minutes a day.

  • AMAZING ZEN QUOTES- (link) - Great grounding quotations.

Miscellaneous
  • Guard My Angel - (link) - This app is amazing and I just had to include it. For those of you with people you care about and worry about it (girlfriends, etc), it's a way to make sure they get home safe and if they don't it sends alerts to people without intervention. (Not really self-help, but I thought more people should know about it!)

My favorite apps are:

Setting Profiles - checks my work schedule from calendar and will automatically put phone to work mode when I'll be at work and takes it off when I leave.

Tapatalk - app for reading forums.

Beyondpod - for listening podcasts. Best app for that.

gReader - best replacement for Google Reader.

Edit: I forgot SwiftKey keyboard.

Have you tried Google Currents? I believe that took the place of Google Reader

I also love spatword and demolition inc. I first thought spartword as a boring app, but when I've tried it, unimaginably, I got hooked! haha! Never realized that I love playing with words! Simply challenging. Demolition Inc is somewhat one of my favorite destructive games.

Kids Learning a to Z

play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kundan.kidzabc

My kid loves to repeat stuffs in this app. Thankfully he loves to play with it for hours and learnt a lot of preschool abc. Saved a lot of time for me.

Simple and beautiful, not any complex navigation which can be easily handled by kids.

1. SwiftKey 3. Enables me to write extensive documents on my RAZR practically, accurately, & quickly . Now spell checker.
2. Evernote. One of the most useful, best applications on Android. Bar None.
3. Handbase. Easily create custom databases on the phone. I record a wide variety of facts and events and have since palm pilot days.
4. Many more to come.

Instead of Instagram, try pixlr-o-matic... its far far better

I think camera 360 is right there with those if not better.

I've recently been working with Tasker and the scenes. I've made my own sms pop up screen for incoming messages and another for calls. The only limit of Tasker is your own imagination. :)
