Voted Playstation, always liked it better than Xbox. Used to have a PS2 and original Xbox, and the Xbox collected dust while the PS2 got played all the time. Right now, I have a PS3 and a Wii, which would be my number 2 vote. Don't really see the need for an Xbox360, as the games I want to play are on both platforms, and there are more PS3 Exclusive title I want to play that there are Xbox360 Exclusives. Halo? Pfffft, never got into it. Never even quite finished the first one, got bored with it. I prefer to play FPS's on the PC anyways. Forza is good, but so is Gran Turismo. And Dead Rising 2 is multi platform instead of Xbox only like the first one.

Well I ended up getting both the ps3 and xbox for christmas, I figured both would have their advantages. I love the ui on the xbox, it's much more intuitive but I also like the grown & sexy look of the ps3. One thing I can't stand with the ps3 is that it seems like I'm forever downloading content anytime I try to access another feature, also waiting on extended downloads just to play a game I already bought from gamestop is ridiculous. The r2 and l2 buttons on the ps3 take too long too travel but I prefer the feel of the ps3 remote over the xbox.

Can't really say one is better than the other but I find myself playing the xbox more.

Just scooped up NBA 2K11 & Madden11 tonight for the xbox so hit me up if you want to get your game on. My gamer tag is shawn1201

I'll add you when I log on tonight or tomorrow morning Shawn. I play a lot of Madden too. We could do some Team Play or just plain old 1v1 unranked.

Totally agree with what you said about the ps3. Downloading demo's, then waiting for them to install takes FOREVER!

Sounds good ... Quick question though, why do you have to pay EA as well as xbox live to play Madden.

It's only $10 so no biggie but Isn't that like double jeopardy LOL

If you bought a brand new copy of Madden (or any EA game) you should have a code inside of the case somewhere that you can type in once you are playing the game. It's some bullshit that EA has started issuing in their games so that people who prefer to buy it used for much cheaper can't play online unless they purchase the EA Online code ($10 USD).

and it was brand new ... all $59.99 of it.

EDIT oops my bad, I was looking at 2K .... the code is on the back of the manual LOL

I agree as you pay for your internet. then have to turn around and pay a game more money for it to access your internet.

After having both the PS3 and the Xbox 360, my favorite platform would have to be Xbox 360. The dashboard is just so much better and the online community is stronger.

I cant say I like the Dashboard
Must say I prefer the PS3's bar's minamilstic approach

WP7 is also growing on me in that regard... not that I'd buy one :p

I chose PC, I feel it takes more "skill" using a mouse and keyboard than using a controller. Of course this is debatable and depends on the types of games played aswell. WIth me being a linux user people would say the gaming area is limited. That's why i play opensource FPS's most based on ioquake3.

PS3 all the way. because well, ive always had a Playstation. so im used to the japanese/chinese hardware junk and i think its awesum =3

I piked up a PS3 a few months back. Must say I like it better than my 360. I miss halo and gears but I mostly play those at my cousins house anyways. The one thing i hated about the 360 was xbox live. The one thing I hate about the PS3 is buy another controller and you dont get the usb cable to charger the controller. I think for $60 they should include the dang cable.

Yeah u should ger a cable. And I never liked halo or gears. Just made it desperate for me. And xbl sux as u have to pay for it.

What is your favorite platform to play games on?

I'm a diehard PC gamer personally. Honestly I think its the best way to play games. I defiantly prefer using a keyboard+mouse over a controller, its just so much more precise. I also love being able to get better looking graphics running at higher framerates.

What do you guys play on?

Same here, PC is the best! Especially with Steam and games like Battlefront and Killing Floor (my personal fav)

I First had a playstation, also got a playstation 2, and got a PSP, but i've also had an xbox, (got an xbox 360 now) and was borrowing a friends PS3 for quite a while too. But I prefer Xbox for various reasons. However I see alot of people saying "oh xbox sucks u gotta pay for online, ps3 is way better coz its free", this argument gets boring...
Well as others in this thread stated, We (xbox-ers) may pay for our online, but the online is actually more better and stable than ps3. You pay for a service, you will get results. Now I'm not being biased, where I work I'm selling ps3's and xbox's all the time. We also get faulty ps3's and xbox's all the time (YLOD or RROD). Both have a range of games, and either one may be better than the other at a specific thing, e.g ps3 may have better graphics for certain games, but the xbox might have better online play for the same game. They are both high end consoles and both are good in their own way, I personally know people who have gone from ps3 to xbox and vice versa for various specific reasons.

But I will say, I was a PC gamer at one point too, and a well geared PC does display beautiful graphics and can do many things consoles can't.

I definatly love PC... But I have to admit before I upgraded about a year ago, I hammered my Xbox360. Good thing about console was MW2 Xbox had f-all hackers compared to PC.

I don't see where people can complain about the xbox and PS3 network reliability..I've never had any issues on either internet service that the other hasn't had. They both suck and one is free. There is def a winner in that choice.
