Root Flashing warm 2.2

I used rom manager to back up my phone after I rooted, and would like to flash myn warm 2.2 rls 5. It says on the download under rom manager "Please update manually unless you already have the following: radio (2.15.00.11.19), Wimax (27167_r01) PRI and NV (1.90_003)."

What does this mean and how do I check that I have these updated versions? If I don't, how do I update so I can successfully flash my first ROM?? Sorry if these are total noob questions, my mom (lesawag) just rooted my phone today ;)

I rooted my evo last week and I flashed Warm 2.2 as well. To be honest, I didn't check to see if I had already updated my radios (4g, wifi, bluetooth, FM, etc.). I simply flashed the rom first - manually not using Rom Manager - and then I flashed the update, and transparent notification. If you look under your system settings, you might be able to find out if you are running the latest update. BUT, just to be on the safe side, flash it anyway.
 
you can check but it should be under phone settings and software info. also i would suggest that you do not use rom manager. get use to doing everything from recovery. for me (it is my opinion) that rom manager can be buggy and create more issues and headaches then it is worth using. just remember to make nandroid backups before making any kind of changes to your phone.
 
+1 for not using Rom Manager due to bugs.

Also it is a good idea to get to know your way around recovery as Rom Manager will not make life easier if something happens and you can not boot your phone normally but are stuck with doing everything manually to get it working again.
 
succintly put. the recovery method isnt tough, altho it can seem kinda intimidating due to its appearance and the way you interact with it. vol +- buttons and the power button. its actually quite intuitive if your familiar with file/folder structures in a computer. anywho, +1 to xtreme's +1 LoL
 
Yes, I agree. I purchased Rom Manager and found it to be somewhat buggy; in certain instances, it wouldn't flash a rom and I ended up having to do it the manual way. Nice app to have but, if you must buy an app, Titanium Back up is well worth it for any rooted user.
