Same! It was bugging me so much every time I pulled my phone out of my pocket and it had no cover on it..Even in my hand sometimes it would slide off. Glad to have helped :)
 
Chatted with them earlier today, should be arriving in 4-5 days. Sweet! Really easy to do, they didn't ask many questions either, for all they knew i dont even own an X!
 
I've had a cover on mine from day one. no loose cover but I can see where it would/could come loose. It is too easy to "play with" all the time.
 
just finished my converation with a moto rep and i have my replacement door on its way within 5 days. its been working fine but a day or so after i got the phone i managed to scratch the back! so thanks for the tip!!
 
Mine is on the way. It will go nicely with the like new replacement phone I just received from Verizon.
 
Huh... I just noticed my door is loose. I'm gonna try this. It's probably from all the battery pulls I've done.
 
they're mailing me out another one. The csr wasn't too humorous. He probably felt the fact that I was a heavy power root user. :p

Edit: BTW...i dont care that i already purchased a new extended battery door...just clicked the linky...im getting a free one as well...always good to have a back up...

Edit: I just want to say i am not a fan of CSR's....when my battery door started falling off my phone...i first went to the local VZW store...i told the rep my problem and he asked to see my phone...he looked at the battery door, he proceeded to inform me that my problem was because one of the "prongs" on the battery door was bent, and i must have done it by dropping the phone...

now...anyone that has even looked at a DX for more than 30 seconds knows that if you look at the battery door and hold it so you can read the text that says "ONLY USE WITH MOTOROLA BH5/6X BATTERY WITH THIS DOOR" that the top right "prong" is curved...

i informed him that this is the case...he disagreed...i pointed to the X on display in the store and politely asked him to remove the battery door from the display model and he would see that the "bent prong" is normal...

he proceeded to remove the door from the display model and then get upset that he was wrong...he then went to his computer and clicked some keys...told me that he couldn't order just the door without the battery and gave me a number to call at Motorola...

I called Motorola from the parking lot and was told that i could either A. order the part for $10+shipping over the phone, or that i could find it on the Moto website...i tried to find it on the moto website, but failed...eventually ordering it from a seller on amazon...

after seeing this post i just got another one...for free...NO HASSLE using live chat...he asked me what my problem was...told him the door was falling off...and i had the extended battery...he apologized and said id have it in 4-5 days...its unbelievable how great some people can be...and how awful others can be...

Thinking about doing this but saying I have the X2. Think I can get the battery door cover with the red writing on it?? :D

Try it and let us know! Except you have to enter your MEID so they will probably see you have a DroidX not X2 :(

but ive always had my phone cover on, so i can care less really. i have a friend who doesnt have a cover and face guard on his phone. hes gonna end up like that dude in the other post who cracked his screen. ill let him know about this.
 
I'm on chat now and I'm getting the third degree. I was honest about dropping my phone once or twice. But I did throw in a crack (sort of) about how it's probably also related to all the times my phone has locked up and I've had to open it up to pull the battery. :)

Edit: No go since I'm out of warranty. I already have my new Razr Maxx on the way so I don't really care now.
