Root Freezing up issues

Alright, I am rooted running GB, overclocked and all via droid X overclock, using a battery saver profile I exported over from QuickClock Advanced. Most of my usage comes from texting, but I have been having this problem even before I went to 2.3... Sometimes, whether it be on my widgetlocker screen, LPP, or Handcent, my phone will just freeze up for a good 5-7 seconds. Maybe a little longer.

Anyone know what is going on? Could it be an issue with the overclocking?

maybe so ,,that would be my first thought other than a beer lol ,,,no seriously lay off the overclock and see if it helps and go through a process of elimination right on down the ladder and see whats causing the issue but first start with removing overclock

Thank you, and if that is the problem... Is there a way to use it, but tone it down a notch? I am very unfamiliar with overclocking. I have read and read on it, but I am still stuck.

Edit: just uninstalled; now I got a force close/wait prompt when I began to text someone on Sms popup.

I was having major issues last night with it for some odd reaon. Wouldn't quit until I went back to stock clock settings. Which, honestly, are just fine on gb.

I mean it is like every few times I unlock my phone. Probably every 1/5 times.

It froze up again, what other things could interfere with that? Hancent instead of stock messaging?

Edit: or possibly LPP???
