Fresh 2.1.2 out

...

But, when 2.1.2 came out, I put it on right away. And I am very, very happy again. I have all my old customizations, the bloat is gone, it's fast (I'd say fastest ROM I've used) and it works great. WiFi tethering, XDA keyboard, live wallpapers, vanilla lock screen (waiting for the hack to put my wallpaper over the vanilla lock screen), the works.

It sounds trite, but in a lot of ways, it seems like the 2.1 release that we should have gotten from HTC/Sprint.

...

But, for me, Fresh 2.1.2, hands down ---- Best ROM yet.

I 100% agree. I was one of the few that jumped the gun and did RUU to the official 2.1 (was having too many audio issues with the 2.1 ROMs at the time). What a miserable experience. No need to list all of the issues, but it was just bad. And I was obviously stuck with it being that root was lost.

But with root access again gained (thank you devs), I loaded Fresh 2.1.2 and wow what a night and day difference. Prior to 2.1, I ran Fresh 1.1 for a long time - was very pleased, but not totally blown away by better performance. 2.1.2 performance is so solid. Snappy, quick, and smooth. I will be using this ROM for a long time to come.

I am using Fresh 2.1.2 as well and love it. The only issue i am having is that bluetooth is not working with my factory system (2009 Altima) worked fine in stock 1.5. If anyone knows a workaround it would be much appreciated.

Any BT connection issues?

I'm looking for some help from anybody :)

I have been running Fresh 2.1.1, then Fresh 2.1.2. Went back to 2.1.1. I had not had any issues with battery life (in fact, it was pheonomonal) until last weekend. Hadn't installed any apps I can think of that would be draining the battery, and nothing out of the ordinary shows up in Running Services. Same with Battery usage stats. I am getting horsecrap for battery. I'm talking 5 hours max. Any ideas?

I'm running 2.1.1 right now and went back to the Stock 1.5 radio (since the other radios made no difference in signal or batter life).

Help, please!!!

Sorry to hear about peoples' battery problems. I've been pretty happy with Fresh 2.1.2 in that regard. I guess I'm just lucky.

An issue I have noticed lately is that I will occasionally lose data (Internet) and have to reboot the phone. Voice and text works but I cannot access Internet or MS Exchange push. Has anyone had a similar issue with Fresh 2.1.2?

I just rooted and flashed Fresh 2.1.2, which is the first ROM I've flashed. I'm thrilled that the keyboard lag is gone, and I no longer have the annoying vibrate on the phone keypad, but all my ringtones are gone! They're still on the SD card, but the phone won't show them in the list to select from. Did I do something wrong?

you're doing batter battery wise with 1.5 radio? I"ve had some success w/ 1.32 verizon radio... I've been meaning to check that 1.5 radio out and see if it improves more... what does it matter what revision the radio is, so long as it connects and battery life is good?

going to root and go with fresh this weekend. i loved my gumbo 1.5, but stupidly went to 2.1 and my phone turned to crap

back on stock baseband radio. i still wasn't getting the battery life I wanted w/ 2.32, and wife's moment is making me jealous w/ her excellent battery life. notice a palpable improvement already... stays on full battery longer.

what really is the point of upgrading the radio if one connects fine? PRLs I get, but newer radios seem to just progressively suck more juice w/ no noticeable difference in signal, imo.

Many people flash a ROM and then start messing with it the second it boots up. You must keep in mind that the first boot will take a while, and once it is up and running, give it a day before you start making judgments. Keep in mind that the first run has to sync and everything, which can take up some time. Also, be sure you are not using SetCPU or anything of the sort with Fresh 2.1.2 as it will NOT work correctly as it isn't designed to.

Finally did it, and it rocks! Not having any of the issues others are reporting (well...almost none), my bluetooth works flawlessly (actually better than before) and the battery life with 2.1.2 and the new radio is amazing! I took the phone of the charger yesterday at 6:45 am, saw heavy use, and did not have to charge till almost 9:00 pm.

I do have a few minor glitches, but they haven't affected the functionality of the phone. The market will close itself unexpectedly, a few programs do the same thing, and my ringers keep changing up on me. Other than that I haven't noticed anything else.

What radio are you using?

2.1.2 didn't work with my exchange. exchange sync would put my phone into an endless loop. had to downgrade to 2.1.1

Thanks for letting us know. That's a showstopper for me.
Does locpicker work with exchange on 2.1.1?

lock picker works just fine for me on 2.1.1. never had an issue with 2.1.1. upgraded to 2.1.2 and everything worked great but as soon as u input exchange it endless reboots. if u try to use lock picker it won't allow the exchange to sync up. i have tested the 2.1.1 with it and no issues. it has been successful with 2.1.1 and the aloysius 2.1 rom i tested.

Has there been a fix for updating the prl yet. I've been liking this rom so far but I would like to be able to update my prl.

I'm not having that problem.

I use my camera a bunch, so it was a deal breaker for me. Also could not update my profile, and was getting Error code 67..... So back to 2.1.1 I went. I just wanted the Vanilla lockscreen, anyway, so no big deal.

I upgraded directly from 2.1.1 To 2.1.2 w/ out a wipe. I have not had a single issue. Camera works just fine The PRL Update was an easy fix. Sorry to hear you couldn't get it working. If interested, I can try and help you if you would like.
