Fresh 2.1.2 out

I upgraded directly from 2.1.1 To 2.1.2 w/ out a wipe. I have not had a single issue. Camera works just fine The PRL Update was an easy fix. Sorry to hear you couldn't get it working. If interested, I can try and help you if you would like.

I didn't wipe the first time, and it had the error code 67 issue a bunch. I wiped and tried again, and it did the same thing, but I left it for 10 hrs, to let it stabilize out. I still had the same issues, and then the camera started FC'ing, and that was enough for me. I even called sprint to see if it was an issue on their end (the profile update). I may try again, but I really do like 2.1.1 I just wish I could keep it and get the vanilla lockscreen. That is my only problem with it. It is fast, and absolutely flawless for me....

Thanks for the offer, if I decide that I need the lockscreen I will def hit you up to see if I can get it running

The PRL Profile update is a "known" issue. If you push the ODAM fix it will work again. Not sure what was up with Camera, mine works great.

i really like this rom using launcherpro..really my biggest issue is my phone just randomly reboots...sometimes when i least want it to. nothing that seems consistent though.

I tried pushing the OMADM.apk to my phone, rebooted and still get a FC. I think I'm doing it right-

-open cmd so its C:\Users\Ben\Downloads\android-sdk-windows\tools>
-type in "adb remount" and hit enter
-it says "remount succeeded"
-type in "adb push OMADM.apk /system/apps/OMADM.apk"and hit enter
-it says "797/kbs (162598 bytes in 0.199s)"

After this I reboot and still get the FC when I try to update. Is there anything else I'm supposed to be doing? Sorry, I'm kinda new to using cmd.

Not sure where you got your OMADM.apk from, but try this one that I have attached.

adb remount
adb push OMADM.apk /system/apps/OMADM.apk

You shouldn't have to reboot after it is done pushing. After it has pushed, I simply went to Update PRL and it worked fine.

Hmmm... still didn't work. Not sure what I'm doing wrong here. I have USB debugging enabled. Don't know what else to try here.

I'm completely new when it comes to doing this whole command line witch craft stuff. I think i understand how to do it, but where do i put the .apk file on the computer? right into the tools folder that i created when i first did the rooting process?

Are both of you running Fresh 2.1.2? Also, what Radio are you using? I flashed the newest Sprint Radio (link is on geekfor.me).

Yeah I'm running Fresh 2.1.2 and have 2.42.01.04.27 for the radio. I'm pretty sure that's the newest one.

it doesn't unroot it, but for me wireless tether doesn't work and free space has gone down significantly.

i had 2.1.1 and just did an upgrade to 2.1.2. it saved my settings and layout and programs etc. but i went from 76mb free to 30mb free and there is more lag with the new animations even after restarts.
I just installed 2.1.2 and it did unroot. I was not able to use Rom Manager to flash the su fix. I was however, able to root again following the steps for android 1.5. And to Bob Loblaw, they would have to be rooted to flash Fresh, as I was.

I never updated the radio, but it's showing me that i have the newest one. Any other reason why it wouldn't let me update the PRL?

No. As long as you are running Fresh 2.1.2 and pushed the OMDAM fix, it should update your PRL. Keep in mind, that it isn't necessary to update it, as it updates the Roaming Tower Locations. It is helpful, but not the end of the world :)

I just couldn't get the OMDAM.apk to push to my phone for some reason. I've pushed other .apk files and they worked but for some reason the OMDAM just wouldn't take. I've been wanting to try some other roms out so I played with Fresh Toast for awhile and that one let me update it. If I go back to 2.1.2 I'll try it again. I do appreciate the help though.

Okay....I know we are on the topic of the OMADM (which I got mine working perfectly now thanks to this thread) but, I have a different issue I was hoping to get help on.

Before installing Fresh 2.1.2 and the vanilla lock screen, whenever I had a calendar reminder set, it would keep alerting me every 10 minutes if I did not acknowledge it. Now, I only get the first official reminder alert and that is it. I have missed a couple of events that I had scheduled because I was not around my phone when the first and only reminder alert went off. Anyone else having this same issue?

I have been searching and searching for a calendar to install over the default HTC one to see if that could fix it, but nothing solid has turned up. I'm thinking because I installed the vanilla lock over the HTC lock, that is the problem. Let me know your thoughts please.

I just wanted to say that I am rooted, and have installed 2.1.2, I flashed the first fix .zip, and I am in love with my phone again. Thank you to the powers that be for making this a happy day.....

So it took me a few days to get it ironed out, but thanks to some help from ccapasso, I finally am happy with 2.1.2. It is quicker than 2.1.1 and love that I can have the vanilla lockscreen. I couldn't get the photo album to stop fc'ing on me, so I installed the 3d gallery. What an awesome app! So far it is the best rom I have used. Hopefully it stays that way!

Glad to hear you got it all sorted out and working. Hopefully it continues to work out well for you :).

I went from 2.0d to 2.1.2 and then back to 2.0d because it there werent any facebook issues with 2.0d. Out of boredom I went back to 2.1.2 to see if I could work some of the kinks out.

My problem - only one contact gives me a force close when I open it, My wife. It does this if i'm linked to FB or not. Anyone else having this issue.

(I re-loaded my nandroid and when I did 2.1.2 the first time I wiped data/davlik)

Go into the google maps app and start the nav feature, and the widget will come back.
