I just figured I'm wearing my phone out cause it seems like all of them are acting like that now. Can you wear out the hardware from repeatedly flashing things and messing with stuff?
Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.

Does anyone else have their data disconnect for no apparent reason? I have had it happen while I am downloading something, when the screen turns off, and when I am using wireless tether. I get repeated results when I use wireless tethering and the screen turns off, but sometimes it takes a minute.
Here is an annotated logcat:
--turned airplane mode off to restart 3G D/St - Disconnection LG Ally Froyo Alpha Logcat
oTechnologyChanged, extra: (none), roaming: true, failover: false, isAvailable: false
Why does the phone think it is roaming?
I had to bail on Froyo due to poor performance as well. When I install Aosp21 or 23, initially it runs very well. After I reinstall my apps from the Market, within a short time, Froyo becomes so sluggish to respond it becomes unusable. I go back to Punisher and again reload my apps from the Market, and everything runs great, good signals, smooth and reliable. Same with Raptor v0.2 Beta 45.
Disable wakelock was checked, so I unchecked it and it still disconnected after a while, even though the screen did not turn off.Make sure you have the wakelock option checked under wifi-tether to avoid it going to sleep while using it.

Logcat:
E/dun_service( 1190): process rmnet event E/dun_s - Aosp28 tether disconnecting
the weird part is that it states:
D/GpsLocationProvider( 1361): updateNetworkState available info: NetworkInfo: type: mobile[CDMA - EvDo rev. A], state: CONNECTED/CONNECTED, reason: (unspecified), extra: (none), roaming: true, failover: false, isAvailable: true
I think this relates to the problem others have been reporting... if you turn data roaming off, 3g disappears.
Logcat:
--turned data roaming on D/NetworkSettings( 148 - Aosp28 data roaming
Also, My Tracks crashes in aosp28 (what I'm using for all of the above)
Logcat:
I/ActivityManager( 1361): Starting activity: Inten - Aosp28 my tracks crash
I am positive my phone is not roaming, yes I have updated my roaming capabilities. This is an issue with the rom.
Thanks for looking into my issues, I'm glad people are taking the time to read these.

I asked you guys for help on this. Where is the logcat? I can't debug this without seeing whats going on to cause it. Logcat when its acting laggy please. Posts like these without a logcat are not useful at all for resolving issues. Also list of apps installed too would help. Also do you have a sd-ext mmcblk0p2 sdcard (for raptor etc apps2sd)
Sorry, Drellisdee. I don't know how to do a logcat, and I didn't even think about that. I do have a lot of apps installed, but they are the same ones I install under Raptor or Punisher. I can certainly provide you with a list. As far as the lag goes, as I said, if i don't install anything, it's great. I have noticed that the Facebook app seems to drag it down. I'm off the next couple of days, so I will try it again and see if I can provide you with better info. I'll also read back through this thread and see if there are instructions to do logcat, whatever that is.

I can confirm that this usually works. Whenever I have problems with froyo lagging (or any lagging), a wipe of the cache and dalvik cache usually fixes it.With regard to the sluggish issue some are experiencing. I can fix that on my phone by clearing cache (I use Cache Cleaner NG from the market). Every time the Ally gets bogged down with 'something' I clear cache with this app and it immediately becomes responsive again.

OH, Trident....I was informed that the "ASOP28" update "high class hush-hush" info was "leaked" from the, "ASOP28" script that was shown "typed-out" within the post #506.
Sorry to get your high authoritative "ban ticket- handing out" ...juices a flowing...;-)

Where is the love for froyo development, I love the roms, and how they work, I need a new build to mess with, the froyo build isn't looking too promising, maybe its in hopes for gingerbread???![]()

You probably just got the phone and have no idea what the process is! Learn the process, do it, and help before you even think to criticize.
